Confidential mental health counseling is available at no charge to students at the Thagard Student Health Center. Counselors specialize in many different areas, including alcohol/drug abuse, anger, assault/date rape, assertiveness, anxiety, depression, discrimination, eating disorders, family, grief, relationships, self-esteem, sexual abuse, sexuality/sexual orientation, social isolation, stress, suicidal thoughts, test anxiety/study skills, and time management. Counseling options include individual counseling, group counseling, couples counseling, crisis intervention, referrals, psychiatric consultation, workshops and presentations, and peer-facilitation training.
