Tuition & Financial Aid:
They make the process like a full time job which is hard to do when you work and go to school full time. The student already has enough to worry about. That's why they're there.

The only major thing I would change would be to add more events to bring unity to the school. We don't get to live on campus so we need other ways to get that.

I recommend online classes but wish there were more online options.

I like the school a lot and am glad I ended up there after previously looking down on community colleges
College Senior 2013-11-28T08:10:19Z
I haven't had any problems with this.

I'd like to see more campus activities.

None of these apply to me.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I don't get financial aid from foothill.

The teachers and the administration want to help the students but they usually say "their hands are tied" but I believe they genuinely want to help.

This college has a beautiful campus and there are many positives about the school but they are hard to find. With the budget cuts, the school cannot afford teachers who like what they are teaching, but there are some teachers who make it all worth it and are extremely passionate about their subject.

Being an Environmental Science major at De Anza has been great. All of the staff that teach the Environmental classes are super enthusiastic about their jobs and offer high levels of interaction and communication. Most of them go on field trips every quarter to help solidify what we learned in class. Even the building that they teach in is environmentally friendly, earning platinum certification (the highest level) with the U.S. Green Building Council.

There aren't many other CHLD students. Not enough people to relate to.

International students are catered to at this school. I don't feel like things are available to everyone. There were classes that were the whole duration of the career fair that I really wanted to attend.

The teachers I have right now are pretty strict about everything.

My school is okay. It's was under construction for quite a while. It is pretty but there can be too much nature sometimes. Some professors are awesome but I've had 2 bad ones. Use ratemyprofessor.com!

I've only had good experiences with online courses. The tutorials are very clear, and you are able to go at your own pace. It was very convenient. I only had to show up for the final. I got an A in the class. I would reccommend it to a friend.

I haven't officially been looking for jobs in my field yet since I have yet to really begin my major. But overall I'm aware my campus has a career center, information, events, and other means of helping students get jobs. I just haven't really utilized any of it so I can't really say. But I know it's available!

Overall the professors are very nice. Some of them are very stingy with electronic devices and will get angry for leaving the classroom for taking an emergency phone call. I like the professors who also use the Catalyst website to post the lecture slides and grades.

I never really went to any of the career center and network places at school. I am still in school and mostly just do part time jobs that I find on my own as well as my internship.

I was somewhat nervous about taking online classes, but they made my schedule much easier to deal with and there were organized deadlines for everything. I experienced what it was like to talk more in the discussion forums with many different students even though they weren't face to face interactions. Grading was much quicker and I could easily figure out what I had in the class majority of the time.

There are many classes that are offered at De Anza that qualify for transferable credit to many of the state's public colleges. Plus the counselors are very cooperative when aiding students in transferring to colleges.
College Senior 2013-04-07T06:48:42Z
De Anza has a great connection with the Cupertino bus system that allows students to ride the bus for free because all of the students pay a small fee that is included in their tuition. We also have a bike lending program in which you can rent a bike for free over the course of a single quarter.
College Senior 2013-04-07T06:41:27Z
De Anza provides reliable resources especially in the online classroom environment. All the online classes that I've taken have been executed without any major problems.
College Senior 2013-04-07T06:11:27Z
The campus overall is quite great for a community college. There are many new buildings being constructed across campus, but most of the existing classrooms are less than stellar. It is good to see that the quality of effort the faculty puts in is very high.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
