I am a Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic major and I am taking pre req classes right now and I am happy with the school so far. Professor seems fair and is not mono tone so it will be a fun class and the workload seems it will be a fair amount but nothing that I cant handle.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
This was the first time I got financial aid on occasion it can be confusing but they are very very good at answering your questions. I gave a B instead of an A because I did have misunderstanding with them once.

Normally, the computer lab and wireless signal on campus are great. However, there have been several times when the signal goes out for an entire building and it slows up the teacher's plan for class. Also, while there are several computer labs hidden throughout the campus, the main center for computers, in the library, are somewhat limited. Unless you get there with time to spare, this could prove to be a problem if you're trying to get work done in a hurry.

While Foothill does not exactly have a "social scene" or "campus life" that 4-year institutions with dorms posses, the student environment around campus is friendly, welcoming, and very relaxed. It is relatively low stress and happy when compared to other schools in the area. Also, while being a junior college, it still has an upper education, collegiate feel, that makes you want to learn and take an active interest in your education.

Across the board, the campus resources are amazing at Foothill. The athletic center has beautiful facilities, and the dance room just had a new $10,000 floor put in specifically for dance classes. The theaters are also in spectacular condition and make performing at Foothill a joy. The cafe's are also very mellow and are a great choice for some low-key studying, relaxing after class, or just talking with friends.

As an English major, there is not always much commotion surrounding internship and job opportunities. The teachers and classes, however, are great and you can see that they really do enjoy teaching their given subject. I would recommend getting core-work for an English degree completed here, but then transferring to another university who places a greater emphasis on language arts. Although, while comparing other majors, the science and business departments at Foothill are very involved with student's career planning and finding them internship opportunities. The workload for all majors at Foothill, across the board, is generally similar, rigorous yet not overwhelming. Also, as the teachers often rotate classrooms, the facilities are generally in great condition for whatever your study is. Foothill is a great place to start your college education.

Great school and, for the most part, I love the teachers. However, some of the online courses are lacking in clarity and teacher involvement. Some of the teachers assign ridiculous amounts of "busy work" without actually teaching anything. The on-campus classes, though, are great! Sign up for the honors program and be sure to take as many classes with honors teachers as possible! You won't be disappointed.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The education I am receiving is worth the money I'm paying. I do not qualify for any financial aid. This is a bit frustrating, I am a parent of 2 children attending college as well and I pay for their tuition. It would be of some help if financial aid considered this.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The education I'm getting is worth it at Foothill College. My financial aid covers some of my tuition, but does not help pay for my books. Which is the only problem for me because I do not receive that much money in grants due to a lot of students applying for them. So my books I need to pay for is usually five times the price of what I am paying for to be in the class. This is the only hole in the system for me.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I received the BOG waver for the California community college system. The education level is well worth the price, even if I did have to pay.

I have attended several other colleges/community colleges, and Foothill is the best so far. The education is top notch and the community among students and professors is awesome. The professors really want to see the students succeed.

You can print some pages for free at the hub which is pretty cool. The camps has wifi.

It always depends on the teacher but I love the online classes at Foothill. I have taken online classes from other schools and they are not as easy to use. They layout is prettier than other schools. Most teachers love to answer questions or other students will. Lectures, Discussions and Assignments are all separately labeled with due dates posted.

Foothill's online classes are easier to use than other colleges I have went to. The website and choosing classes is also better laid out and easier to use than other colleges.

Besides the amazing landscapes and views, there is also a year-round perfect weather (a bit chilly in winter, but it's okay) which makes going to school more fun. The 2 tutorial centers are a great source of help for students, as well as the well-equipped library and the computer lab.

A community college can't be better than this! Gym, pool, tennis courts, football field, and a lot of trails and paths where students can bike, hike or run. The library is pretty big and there are 2 tutorial centers, all of them with plenty computers.

The curriculum is no problem, however the location is a bit of a hassle based on my home location. But its a 50/50 situation because of online availability for classes.
College Junior 2013-04-13T03:46:33Z
I haven't experienced all the facilities yet but the café is like a home away from home. You get a familiar and welcoming feeling in the café and the gym looks top notch though I haven't been inside. The library is standard but has a vast amount of knowledge and help. The basic look and feel of the campus makes you feel like your at a higher up school without the hassle of travel or expenses.

Faculty are amazing. I have been used to "paycheck" teachers but at Foothill they genuinely want to help and are friendly and professional with their approach. One downfall is the registration process. Its a little confusing to new students and unorganized. Its not unbearable but it will take getting used to. Curriculum is relevant and knowledgeable. Foothill also offers great study options with tutors, clubs related to your field, and even disability resources.

I am pursuing Music Technology, and the class choices are great, the faculty are friendly and professional, I would rate with a B or higher if there were more in field/real life examples pertaining to my major. There are some and I am new to Foothill so I have yet to meet and learn under more professors. I am satisfied with the varying fields, it allows for a more positive career outcome within a given industry. The curriculum is extremely relevant which is my favorite part. The facilities are top notch and make you feel like its a home away from home. All in all a very reputable college with a manageable workload and experience.

Foothills students are there to work, from my observations so far there is some socializing but a vast majority of the students are there to transfer. There are many international students as well. The ethnicity is diverse but primarily of Asian decent due to the locale. I have not come across too many challenges yet but foothill does do a great job to accommodate students out of county or state. For example I witnessed a non native speaker who was given a translator.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The cost of going there is wonderful. The financial aid department them selves is not the easiest to work with. The front lady is always very helpful and nice but every time I have had to work with anyone but the front lady they have been rude, unhelpful, and down right mean at times.

My school has a lot of different academic programs and most of the teachers are very passionate about their subject, however, I have not experienced the best organization. Sometimes, in some previous classes I've had, work is not always explained in the best way which leaves the class confused on what to do. Time management can also be a factor that plays into this. Sometimes classes get off topic, which is completely understandable, however, professors tend to cram an explaination in at the last second which does not leave time for questions or clairifications.
Recent Alumnus 2013-04-08T18:37:40Z
Foothill has very many positive academic flexibility opportunities. There are a variety of times that classes take place anywhere from early morning to late at night. There are also many online options that can make it easier to finish a class if one is limited on time. There is also an extension to Foothill which offers many science, music, dance, and health classes also all very flexible and imformative.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
