Not many college students are particularly interested in the dating scene because most people just want to have their fun. At Fordham, there is a healthy mix of people in serious relationships and single people just looking for a good time. Whether you're looking for the love of your life or the love of tonight, you're likely to find someone with similar interests at Fordham, especially if the latter of the two is your scene.

Students seem to consider Fordham to be an "attractive" campus with generally good-looking options—no matter what you're looking for—but of course, no school is perfect. Not looking for love or a hookup? That's fine, too, since most students feel that others in the Fordham community are pretty easy to get along with. Meeting new people is pretty easy at Fordham; all you have to do is switch up your regular weekend routine and try out a different bar or party.

Caddy Girls, No Boys

Not much of a variety. Mostly either hot party girls or plain janes. For boys, they are either gay or pot head douche bags. Also, the ratio of boys to girls is 25:75. Girls can be extremely catty with each other, which gets disgustingly annoying.

Guys Are D***heads Who Were Clearly Bitches in High School and Girls Are Well, No Where to Be Found!

Wealth = status at Fordham. Trust me, I have game, I mean at least I thought I did until Fordham... I can usually get with whatever girl I target as long as she is not trying to use me to get drinks or has a boyfriend present; at Fordham however, these rules hardly apply. Enjoy the first month of school when girls put-out especially because reputations and relationships are not established. After that say goodbye to your happy days at Fordham. My advice is date the first cutie you hook-up with, if you don't you will become sexually frustrated and even discouraged. I began going to NYU, Pace, raves, and nightclubs to satisfy this; but even most guys aren't willing to leave campus because they are lazy alcoholic weed-fiends. Remember this too: NO GUEST OF THE OPPOSITE SEX ALLOWED IN DORMS AFTER 3AM. And if you do manage to make it back from the bar on time, the girl MUST BE SIGNED OUT BY 3AM or else you will be fined. If you want to know how a guest fine works the first is $15, then each violation following increases by 15, then doubles ($30, $45, $90+an official residential write up, $180+write up+loss of guest privileges) . I have even know some kids who have had a "moment" interrupted by an RA, following which both the guests are written up for sex...sex...yes you CAN BE PUNISHED FOR HAVING SEX!

Social Scene

Fordham is a pretty small school, so there is a lot of interaction between students. You pass the same people at the same time each week, as you walk your regular route to class. Don't be surprised when you see the teacher's pet who sits in the front row of your philosophy class pounding shots at the bar. Most of the social interactions occur between members of the on-campus community, since most commuters can't always make it back to school for late-night activities or don't have a place to stay for the weekend. There's always a lot going on at Fordham, whether it's a school-sponsored event or a party off campus. Even if you are a commuter, try to remain as active in Fordham's community as possible; it's a lot of fun and a great way to meet people.

Hookups or Relationships?

Couples aren't a rare find at Fordham, but hookups are more common than relationships. Most of the people in relationships at Fordham are seeing someone who goes there, too. Similarly, most of the hookups that happen are between Fordham students, which makes sense because if you're partying around Fordham, the vast majority of the people you run into is going to be Fordham students, as well.

Best Places to Meet Guys/Girls

At Rose Hill, students can count on flirting at the various Belmont area bars. Upper Deck and The Ram's Lounge are popular destinations with intimate, dark lighting, accordingly. On campus, dorms are always buzzing with parties (or the news of where the off-campus parties are arriving). When all else fails, the gyms will always be busy and spring will bring out the sunbathing crowd on Martyr's Lawn. Lincoln Center students tend to do most socializing on the New York City scene. On campus, special events, such as movie nights and club parties, may allow you to mingle, but the party scene remains dull. Head to Central Park on a nice day, and hit someone with your Frisbee; go to a club at night, and hit the dance floor.

Dress Code

Some professors joke that they don't even recognize the students from their 8:30 a.m. classes if they see them later on in the day or when they are dressed up for something else. That being said, the dress code at Fordham is pretty diverse. In any class, you're likely to have people dressed for success, people hungover in sweats, athletes in spandex coming from or heading to practice, and of course, you're average people in jeans and a nice shirt. All in all, there's not one specific way that everyone dresses for class.

Did You Know? Fordham bars only admit Fordham students, so it's a great place to meet new friends and potential hookups.
