There are alot of different people at Fortis. Some ranging from 18-50. Everyone is here to learn and does their best to help and be professional. There are various groups and cliques but none of the immature and self- depriving characteristics; more like a comfort group. There is an acceptance level like I have never known. It seems everyone has their problems or flaws, but they are not ridiculed or loooked down upon because of them.

I love all of my teachers. They are very hands on and are always there to help you. It sometimes becomes hard during your first semester trying to adjust to the new enviornment and people, but they offer everything possible. From one on one teaching to counseling and budgeting classes. It really takes off some of the pressure when you can go talk to notonly your teacher but anyone on campus. There is not too much homework on an average week; just enough to keep you busy and on your toes.

I chose this school, because of the way the staff made me feel. I didn't feel like it was impossible for me to go here. They worked with me with all the obstacle I had.

I've been in school for a couple of weeks, and so far I am impressed with what I have learned in my classes. Majority of my classmates are friendly and are willing to give you heads up on what to do in the future. I found out about my tuition was a surprise because I have to pay them every month. Overall I have confidence that I will succeed with the knowledge of my program.

For a while I thought this school was a good choice and the right thing for me. Then I learned that most of what they tell you when you come tour is a lie. This school cost me $25,000. There are probably 3 teachers, out of the ones I've had for classes, in the whole school that know what they are talking about. A lot of people here don't care about their education and are there because its free for them. None of my previous credits from community college transferred, nor do these credits I have worked my butt of for transfer to other schools. I would never recommend this school to anyone. You're better off going to a real school.

Most of the classes are exactly what I need for my future career. Some classes however are pointless and the teacher who teaches the pointless classes I took is a nimrod and a high schooler could have taught the classes better than she did.

You either attend day or night classes. If you miss a day due to work, kids, life, or whatever happens, most teachers will let you make up the work you missed but they take off points for turning it in late.

Most of the students are all working toward the same goal- graduation. They work together and genuinely care about their success in the class. There are, like any other school, those few who shim by and do the bare minimum, but the teachers notice this and grade accordingly.

For Dental Assisting you can count on the curriculum being a heavy load. There is a lot to learn about oral anatomy and its maintaining. The facilities are state of the art and allow all hands on training.

The school is a private school for learning trades. The resources in the labs are great, and the staffs support is so amazing. There is always someone available to push you to the next level.

Fortis has a great computer network. All computers are linked offering an easy platform for switching classrooms and changing computers in the lab.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
No Secrets – My schools finanial aid was straight to the point. There were no hidden fees and everything was outlined perfectly. my finanical advisor made no decision for me but to the best of her knowledge gave me her advice and showed me the correct path to take so that when i gaduate i would not be swamped with student loans i could not afford to pay. I feel that with my books and tool combined with the education I will be receiving is well worth the money im paing for a bright and sucessful future.
