It's not extremely diverse in beliefs as it is advertised as a Catholic university. There are a diverse group of international students here and many different ethnic backgrounds.

I don't usually park. You can always find a spot it's just a matter of finding a good spot.

The financial aid was great they gave more than we had expected.

Challenging and in-depth. Some random classes that don't teach you much, but overall, the more you take the deeper you go.

It's pretty good. It's hard to get answers out of advisors sometimes, but overall they are knowledgeable; you just have to ask the right questions.

If you want to wreck your life you can go somewhere that's not college. The rules are not oppressive here, and you're free to do as you please within reason.
College Sophomore 2013-11-09T18:19:52Z
I like it. There's a place to go no matter what you need to get done.

It's the best. You don't get the nicest of everything, but so what? The experience is the people, the people make it what it is for academics, faith, sports, everything.

Again, I'm not the best person to ask, but I know others who have had a pretty good experience.
College Sophomore 2013-11-09T18:15:56Z
People can usually get where they need to go, but I live close to campus so I am not the best person to ask.

Guys & Girls:
There are a lot of great people here. Of course you always have some people who are cliquey or rude but overall there's a great atmosphere.

There are several meal plans, but while you can get more or less meals the price is not that different.

The school doesn't seem like the greatest thing until you actually go there. The Catholic identity is engrained in everything on campus and I love it because of that. The students are extremely friendly and I am almost always welcomed. There aren't many safety issues and the teachers are incredible. I wouldn't go here for the buildings and food but for the friends and teachers.

They give a ton of print quota and I've haven't come even close to using it all. My dorm has its own wireless network which a lot of dorms don't have right now. However, the campus wifi is throughout all the classrooms and libraries so you should haven't much trouble when you are there.

People are at games so it's not like its abandoned. However most people come just for entertainment and wouldn't be considered "die hard" fans. The rugby team is very good in Division III.
College Freshman 2013-11-09T16:08:37Z
I love all the different places. The library is a fantastic place to study and the student center is a great place to hang out with people.

It's more of a steel town. I haven't been off campus that much so I can't say for certain but it doesn't seem like there is a lot of things to do. There are some theaters and little restaurants nearby. Pittsburgh is about an hour away so some people make the drive there.
College Freshman 2013-11-09T15:26:11Z
Everything seemed to be resolved pretty quickly. They call you if you are missing forms usually so you can stay on top of everything. I didn't really run into a snag at all.

I have never had an internship or job so I can't say. Being a freshman I just am focusing on my major right now.
College Freshman 2013-11-09T15:22:43Z
You can walk across campus pretty quickly so there isn't much of a need for transportation.
College Freshman 2013-11-09T15:21:49Z
It doesn't rain too much but the temperature changes quickly.

My major (Computer Information Science) is pretty rare, and it often gets confused with Computer Science. It's actually much easier than Computer Science, at least for me, and involves a lot of business classes. I seem to have a much less stressful workload than just about everyone, and my programming teacher is often available to help me with problems - again, it's a less common major. The Common Core that was recently added is interesting. Through it, I'm taking some neat courses that I never would have taken otherwise, like Environmental Science. There are at least two advanced computer labs on campus, both in the Computer Science floor, with the programs I need to do my homework. Unfortunately, they're the computer labs that close the earliest (9 on most days, as opposed to 10 or 11), so if you're the person sending in homework just before midnight, bring a laptop. There are some good job opportunities here, but I have to admit I haven't really looked for them (I'm new here).

Public transportation is really non existent. If you need to go somewhere you better either have a car or know someone with a car. Since freshman can't have cars it may be awkward your first few months but eventually you'll find someone with a car who you are good friends with or your roommate knows so overall, getting to and from places isn't terrible difficult. If there happens to be off campus activities such as rugby games or rally's they are very good about offering free shuttles.

If there are drugs they are hard to come by. In my two years here I have yet to see anyone using or on drugs. Drinking, yes, smoking cigars, cigarettes, pipes, etc. very common but not drugs. I'm sure it is around but I haven't seen it or been exposed too it, at least not on campus.

Steubenville isn't known for much and it's dining options just support that. There are very few sit-down places and even these aren't very nice. The rest are fast food chains with low quality or just small in and out places that could really use a pick me up. The surrounding areas, however, aren't too horrible but for the most part, staying on Campus is your best bet.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
