FCC is focused on getting students closer to achieving their education and career goals. Most courses of study are designed to provide either a degree or a certificate, which students can use to get into four-year colleges or entry-level jobs. For those in continuing education programs, like workers returning to school for additional learning, FCC has many partnerships with businesses that make it possible for students to train in the workforce. The Workforce Partnership of Frederick County between Frederick Community College and the Frederick County Workforce Services helps students gain knowledge and skills necessary for entry-level positions and further their knowledge in a field of study.
The majority of Continuing Education classes are non-credit courses and are provided as an education enhancer for those who are already in the workforce. FCC also has a few short classes for those who wish to open their own business. The Workforce Partnership has a variety of different training programs that range from Phlebotomy Technical training to HVAC training.
