The student account advisers have been very helpful in balancing my financial aid and although I had applied late, they helped me as quickly as possible and didn't take very long till I received my financial aid. I am still looking for more scholarships since I need a way to pay off what was not covered by financial aid and since I am no longer working. I hope for the best.

I am attending the Bakersfield campus so there really isn't any sports, or labs, but the classrooms are really roomy and nice. There is also plenty of technology that is used to help provide the learning in the classroom. There is also a break room where students could relax and study, as well as a kitchen so students could make their food for Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner.

The parking lot is average, but there is always plenty of space for parking. I never have trouble finding a parking spot and it is free.

The classroom settings and groups from the cohort set this school apart from any other school that I am familiar with. I really like how the cohort programs are set up and I love the size of the classroom. I feel as if I have another family when I am in class and I really like how we will be together in the same group of people until graduation. If I would have to do it all over again I think I would have chosen this school to go to in the first place since I had wasted a few years chilling at Bakersfield College. I am determined to graduate school with A's and B's.

I am enjoying every class that we have been taking in the Liberal Arts cohort. The workload is pretty reasonable and the majority of it corresponds with what is being taught in the classroom. Some professors explain the subjects very well while others may lead students into the wrong direction and confuse us. Other than that the professors are very helpful and I see them wanting us to succeed.

This school provides a lot of options and the environment is awesome. There are many professors that make me feel eager to learn more and interested in the subject. The staff is also very helpful with registration and they also want us to be successful so they try to help as much as possible.

Very friendly staff and helpful as well. I like how they are on top of certain topics just as drug use, and the rules for the parking lot. Its an amazing atmosphere.

The weather does not affect my campus experience.

There is no alcohol drinking on campus as well as drugs. Everyone treats each other like family so there is no peer pressure.

I feel very confident that I will be able to find a better job after I have earned my Bachelor's Degree in Child Development. As of now, I am planning on working as a social worker or with an adoption or foster agency. This college has excellent career counseling services and teachers and staff are very knowledgeable.

Applebee's and Sweet Tomatoes are the closest restaurants. However there are a wide range ten to twenty minutes from The Fresno Pacific Degree Completion Center.

They have only a vending machine since it is a degree completion center and not a main campus. There are restaurants close by however, Applebee's and Sweet Tomatoes.

There is no cost to park and spots are fairly easy to find.

Finding financial aid is to me the biggest challenge to succeeding in college. It has to become part of your daily life in order to secure the needed funds. I highly recommend applying for the fafsa and to make it a daily habit to search and not get discouraged.

For the Degree completion center, there is no on campus housing. That would be available for students attending the main campus.

For the degree completion center, they do not have a computer lab. That would be available to students attending the main campus.

Right now I am finishing the required general ed units before I start the Child Development Degree Completion Program, which starts in February 2014. From what I hear, the program is excellent.
College Junior 2013-11-20T07:36:16Z
The professors are very understanding and helpful. I have not run into one staff member that I did not like. The workload is challenging but definitely something that can be accomplished while working. The program was set up for adults who have a busy life outside of school, which I can certainly relate to. While working and going to school at the same time is a challenge, Fresno Pacific makes it possible. There is an online component to all classes which makes working from home easier.

The weather in Fresno county has hot summers and mild winters compared to most places. Since the entire Fresno Pacific Degree Completion Center is located indoors the weather does not have a negative effect. The building is properly cooled and heated depending on the season.

As a Christian, I really appreciate the schools deep rooted value system. Teachers portray subjects in an educated manor and there is a definite emphasis on Christ. I feel that it is also a very professional environment. The Fresno Pacific Degree completion center is located within a business suite. It is a beautiful and well maintained college. Although it is expensive, I can see the value in paying for this type of education.

Fresno Pacific university is situated in Fresno California. Fresno has malls, movie theaters, clubs, great restaurants and plenty to do. You can't be bored in Fresno.

Guys & Girls:
I would say that there is a range of people and how they act at school, just like in life. But in general, in dress or action, people portray themselves positively for the most part.

I attend the Fresno Pacific North Center for degree completion. It is mostly composed of adults who do not seem to participate in substance abuse on campus at all. I think one of the reasons for this is that it is a Christian school and their is a higher standard for ethical behavior. I also think that the people who attend do not appear to be in a party phase of their life.

I don't get involved with or socialize with students, so I don't know anything about this topic
College Junior 2013-11-11T22:07:15Z
This is a great school and I have learned a lot but this is not the school for me. I really wish I would have looked into a lot more before making my choice. I understood that I was signing up to attend a private christian school, but I don't believe I was at all prepared for the type of environment that is practiced at this college.
The staff and students are very friendly but if you're not a christian that is practice the type of religion the school does the environment can be uncomfortable. You are required to take Bible classes, which was nice since I have never really read the Bible before. But the classes are not set up for much of any type of discussion or openness to any other type of review but their own.
The classes that are not based on religion still carry religion in them. This is one of the reasons I believe this was not the school for me. I do not see how learning about the religion factor and whatever major it maybe is at all helpful.
I am all for the freedom of everyone to be able to practice their own religion but I do not like that it is pushed upon the students who do not practice their ways.
I am not a fan of this schools views on gays. Yes, there are gay students at this school, just as there are gay people in the world. Also the schools pacifist beliefs are a little unnerving. They do not respect or observe Veterans Day which in my personal view is in total disrespect.
Ultimately this is a good school but be aware of what you are getting yourself into first. If I could do it all over again I would rather attend Fresno State and feel more comfortable with my school and surroundings.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
