The Refectory is decent, and serves it's purpose for offering quick and low-priced meals in comparison to the general dining options around Pasadena.

Seems to be limited to the specific type of student or program.

Health & Safety:
Safety is good on campus; I have never felt worried even walking around late at night. Campus security is always around, and campus crime has been limited to occasional theft from outsiders coming through the library.

We've had a lot of changes in the staff at our Refectory in the last few years, and consequently the quality of food has gone down. It is still generally pretty good and pretty well priced, but there are also many places closeby campus that offer good food.

I came to Fuller for its special emphasis on Christian Clinical Psychology. I love all of our professors, and they are experts in a variety of foci in psychology. Our theology professors are top notch, as we are a renowned seminary in the world. The curriculum is varied, though are not always offered as frequently as I would have liked. Registration process is easy, and the workload is very comparable to most other graduate schools for professional degrees.

Our school has a community standard regarding the level of behavior in our spiritual, academic, and personal lives that administration expects from our students. However, it is enforced by an honor code, and it will only be followed up based on complaints by others in the community. I think Fuller does it well because the school treat us as adults, but makes it clear that as a Christian school we have a certain level of standards that we should model our lives.

I have loved Fuller Theological Seminary in its preparation for receiving a doctorate in Clinical Psychology. Our school is one of few schools that offer a PhD in Clinical Psychology with a emphasis in Christian theology, it is APA accredited, and has a good reputation across the country for our clinical training. Our workload is comparable to graduate school, which means that we spend about 2-4 hours of preparation for each unit you take. The curriculum is comprehensive and varied, and there's opportunities to make an emphasis in a variety of specialties, including family, neuropsychology, and community psychology. Our school prepares us well for internships, and we have a pretty high internship placement rate.

There is plenty of housing, but it is really expensive in Pasadena. Housing is conveniently close to almost every shop you need and you can bike most places. It's a safe area, but parking can be difficult in the city.

Because it's a seminary, most people are there because they are working in ministry or because they want to. Being involved with heavy drugs and alcohol use would keep us from the work we want to do.

Drugs? You Mean Aspirin, Right? This is a theological seminary. Anyone using drugs is not broadcasting it.

Abundant but Pricey – The nightlife around Fuller is abundant, but the restaurants and bars are upscale and a little pricey for the average grad student. Check out the $3 movie theater, or invite some friends to hang out on the porch on those warm summer nights.

Health & Safety:
Very Safe – The campus is well lighted with security and escort services available. I always feel safe.
College Senior 2012-09-12T22:55:49Z
Concentrated Campus – The campus at Fuller Theological Seminary offers a more concentrated academic setting. The campus itself is fairly small for a graduate school/seminary. However, this allows for further opportunities for Faculty/Student interaction and hands on help from dedicated academic advisors. A small campus in this case is by no means a point of frustration.
College Senior 2012-09-12T22:47:44Z
No Evidences of Substance Abuse – The Fuller students both on and off campus do not demonstrate a pattern of substance abuse in the forms of illegal drugs and/or alcohol consumption. Drinking is common among those of legal age, but this is often done in a controlled and responsible social environment.

Cost Effective Options Available – Pasadena offers several neighborhoods with relatively inexpensive apartment options. Comparatively speaking, the Pasadena area has a wide range of housing options from apartments, in-home room rentals, duplexes and condominiums. For students seeking an inexpensive means of living, Old Pasadena has plenty of apartment complexes with great amenities within the 1,200 to 1,500 range. Naturally the closer one gets to downtown Pasadena the more expensive living arrangements become. However, for the multiple roommate seeking college undergrad/graduate student, the options are vast and affordable.

Beautiful Pasadena Campus – The campus at Fuller in Pasadena is extremely beautiful and very nicely integrated into the city. The center of campus is a lusciously green park that is always lovely to stroll through. Architecture compliments the admired look of Old Pasadena, while some administrative buildings are actually architectural historical landmarks. These give off a soothing "home-y" and cozy feel as they are not brick buildings, but actually Victorian styled homes. The library is spacious and comfortable to study in. The campus even provides a garden where students can go for prayer and quiet-time to help with the stress of student life.
