A-
Overall Great
The facilities here satisfy any need you might have... with the exception of the University Center (which is supposedly the hub of student life). However, they're completely renovating the UC this summer and the plans make it seem as though it will be a better central area for students. The Townes Science Center is state of the art (just renovated in 2008, I believe) , with a surprising array of specialized equipment. Other academic buildings are just as nice (even nicer, Furman is small enough for classrooms to be available for students as study havens in the afternoons and evenings). The PAC (a.k.a., gym) has an ample and varied amount of equipment (and luckily a separate gym for athletes). James B. Duke library was recently renovated as well, and is the main library (and I would say central part of campus); there are also two smaller libraries on campus, surprisingly for Furman's size, a music and science library. Then, of course, campus aesthetics... FU is often called the "country club campus", and it fully deserves it... (I'm sorry to say the campus' beauty is what first drew me to this school).
