College Prowler Take
Furman’s facilities offer a wide variety of services to students. The Physical Activities Center, or PAC, has a large gym with a climbing wall, indoor pool, and workout facility. While the workout facilities need renovation, most of the equipment is new. The student center perpetuates Furman’s reputation for having the atmosphere of a Southern country club. Picturesquely located at the banks of Furman’s lake, the student center houses the bookstore, post-office, copy-center, food-court, movie theater, and coffee shop. The typical scene includes students sipping their lattes and chai teas on the patio as the occasional swan scuttles across the grass. Just up the hill, glistening fraternity members recreate Top Gun’s volleyball scene on sunny afternoons as sunbathers recline on the lawn, smudging their textbooks with tanning oil. Furman’s campus is known for its beauty. The lake, bell tower, rose garden, fountains, and traditional architecture create a picturesque and idyllic setting. The facilities offered are remarkable for a university this size.

The facilities on Furman's campus are very nice. That's probably one of the best things about Furman. We essentially attend school at a country club. The Physical Activities Center (PAC) has been newly renovated and looks great--pool, locker rooms, weight gym, two full basketball courts, workout studios, classrooms, etc.

The facilities are all up to date and constantly being updated. Nothing here is old. The technology in every classroom is beyond sufficient and everything is what you want. The gym was just renovated and there are plenty of work-out stations. The library has every resource imaginable.

The facilities are amazing. The brand new science building is state-of-the-art, and the PAC (physical activities center) is being redone as we speak. Everything is very up to date, and Furman makes a real effort to be green, an added bonus.

I'm only a sophomore, but I've already seen the science building and the physical activities center completely renovated while I've been here. Wireless Internet is available just about everywhere. The library is beautiful; study there often. Riley Hall is trippy; walk down it at least once to appreciate the "study-friendly" color scheme. The dorms even have common areas for studying and large-group events.

FactsWhat To Do on Campus
On any given day, you can work out in the Student Athletic Center or the Recreation Center, go bowling between classes, play some arcade games in the Student Center, or chill out and listen to some music. For those of you who like being outside, there are the outdoor basketball courts by the Curran and Peters parking decks.
You can work out at the PAC, take a walk or jog around the lake, hang out at the Tower Café, play sand volleyball on E-field, watch a free movie in Burgiss Theater, or play golf on the Furman golf course.
Favorite Things To Do
Furman students tend to spend much of their free time outside, whether they are jogging around the lake, playing a game of Frisbee golf, laying out, or harassing the swans. Sometimes FUSAB (Furman University Student Activities Board) offers fun activities such as a comedian, concert, or free movie in Burgiss Theater. Also, the Tower Café is the place most people go if they want a more social studying environment.
