Advice on Finding a Job/Internship If you are worried about finding a job after going to school, don’t feel like you’re on your own. The Office of Career Services offers a number of services for its students. It’s amazing more students at Furman don’t take advantage of them. Simply scheduling a meeting with this department (before May of your senior year) can be the first step in a smooth transition from college to the professional world. Visiting the office of Career Services can be very helpful as long as you are ready to be proactive in your job/internship search. Don’t plan on sitting back while they find your ideal employer for you. It’s also important to talk to professors in your department. They are usually willing to help and often have good connections. Professors will set up interviews for you with companies who want to have Furman students work for them.
