not much athletic but they make up for it by having family oriented function in the community. so there's some action going on besides school.

Student Center, Library, Cafeteria and Tech Lab are all great campus resources.

Very friendly and the peer tutors are always available.

I don't feel like there's anything that sets my school apart from others or makes it special.
College Senior 2013-09-15T19:28:07Z
I love the web enhanced capabilities for our classes. I wish the system wasn't down at times for maintenance or general issues.
College Senior 2013-09-15T19:26:18Z
The library doesn't have as many resources as I'd like. However, they do offer a variety of downloadable E-books.

The professors and instructors do their best to give everyone the opportunity to practice what they have learned, especially in the simulation lab.

The online courses were harder for me because of my job at the time. I feel I do better in a classroom setting.
College Senior 2013-07-09T19:32:27Z
The professors and instructors that I have had contact with are top-notch, and are willing to do whatever is needed to help you succeed. The administration, however, is a little lax in returning phone calls and emails. Overall, the school is great and I would, and have, highly recommended Galen to anyone who wants to pursue a degree in nursing.

I don't have that much experience with on-line classes.

I feel like the people at Galen are all there to help you. Nobody is there to discourage you. I can count on the staff and my peers when i need them.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Galen is a for profit school. Getting my associates LPN cost about $20,000 alone. I truely believe it was worth it because you get a lot of hands on experience and the faculty is always there to answer questions and are very invested in making sure that you are getting the education you deserve. The finiancial part of it isnt that great.

Galen does a really good job at communicating job oppurtunities in the community. I recieved emails almost weekly about careers/ job openings. Also having clinicals out in the community lets you get your foot in the door and helps you choose where you would like to work when you graduate.

In working just in my major I do believe some of the things we learn are never used again but the hardest part has been the classes and the teachers you will do a lot of self study here.

One person stands out Ms. Debra Rayman she would bend over backwards to help any student past or present with resume or finding a job. She is also their just to talk to if you want a great representation of what a nurse in education and career services should be.

Most students at Galen College of Nursing are students who already have a degree and are making a career switch. Many often have jobs or a family and are just looking for a new challenge or job that is secure. A lot of the students are very friendly and usually talkative and helpful.

I actually like how involved my professors are. They are always offer assistance when needed and have very flexible office hours. Being that the class size is relatively small, it makes it easier easier to have a personal relationship with your professors. The registering process for classes was fairly easy.

Since this really isn´t a campus where students live on, they really do not have many resources. There is however, a cute little cafe ideal for hanging out with friends or doing some reading.

I´m a Nursing major at Gallen College of Nursing, and my classes here are specifically designed for those wanting to pursue a career in nursing. Each quarter are 11 weeks long. Although it seems like this would be overwhelming, its not. Each quarter has specific classes to help your experience somewhat easy. You also have the option to move certain classes around in order to graduate sooner or make you load lighter.

I haven't graduated yet and I haven't had an opportunity to use these services that my school offers, but I have not heard any complaints from students that have already graduated.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
