Gavilan College Snapshot

Overall, Gavilan is a great place to get ready to transfer to a four year university. Although many students don't take it seriously because it is a community college, it allows students to explore different courses and truly find something that will interest them. It's a great jumping off point to discover something students really enjoy and could see themselves doing later in life as a career. They provide excellent tutoring and transfer programs and even have representatives from all over California come and talk to students about the schools. The key to success at Gavilan is to stay focused and on track. If there is no motivation students will not perform at their full potential and will take years to transfer. Speaking with a counselor and knowing the educational plan is a vital factor in the success of a student. However, the most important thing for a Gavilan student is to have the drive and ability to want a better education so they can better their lives. Motivation, patience and hard work are the keys to academic success.
