Tips for Getting In
  • Be concise in your essays. You don't need more than a paragraph for each.
  • Be involved—in your school, your community, and your church. Going on mission trips looks good.
  • Brush up on your writing skills; they ignore the writing part of the SAT, but there's a scholarship competition for full tuition.
  • Don't stress. The College isn't overly difficult to get into, though higher grades mean better scholarships.
  • Don't try to "fit the mold"—Geneva strives for diversity.
  • Geneva consciously aims for a diverse range of beliefs. You don't have to be Presbyterian or even Christian.
  • Maintain decent grades in high school and get above-average SAT and ACT scores.
  • Put a little bit of thought into what you believe and be able to articulate it.
  • Visit the College. It doesn't help you get in, but the campus is sweet and overnight visits are free.
