College Prowler Take
If you want to use drugs at Geneva, there are obviously enough ways of getting around policies. If you want to be exposed to drugs, as with anywhere, attending enough parties will subject you to casual drug use. However, at Geneva, there are few incidents of drug use on campus. Most students at Geneva avoid using drugs altogether—at least the illegal kind. For the majority of students at Geneva, drugs are never seen and rarely talked about. This is primarily due to the majority of students having some form of religious conviction preventing them from drug use. The few run-ins with drugs that I have had were only with marijuana, but no other harder drugs.
Of course, caffeine is widely used to keep students awake and alert. There are pockets of students that smoke, but even cigarettes are taboo on Geneva’s campus. Alcohol is more prevalent than hard drugs, but stereotypically, most alcohol incidents involve athletes. Because Geneva has a no-tolerance policy when it comes to alcohol (even in someone’s system), most students do not bring alcohol with them into the rooms, for fear of the punishment if caught. Overall, when it comes to availability and prevalence of drug use, there are few schools with less on-campus drug and alcohol use than Geneva.
