I honestly think if the College wasn’t here, the town would become deserted. But there are plenty of other places to go, like Pittsburgh, Cranberry, and Monaca to escape the confines of Beaver Falls. |

The majority of guys and girls...
The majority of guys and girls seem to fall into two categories on Geneva’s campus: engaged or practically engaged. There are the typical guys and girls on campus, as well as the eccentric. This creates a well-balanced distribution of personalities, however bizarre some might be. |

It can be argued that one of the best qualities that Geneva offers is its professors. Not only are these individuals extremely knowledgeable and passionate concerning academia, but they also employ deep personal connections with their students. |

The professors at Geneva are outstanding. Most of them are experts in their respective field, yet are humble enough to come down to the level of students. The faculty members I have interacted with have a genuine care, not just in students’ learning, but also in students’ lives. Concerning classes, I have yet to have taken a class at Geneva that I could not get interested in. Geneva has shown me that there is much more to life than getting a degree to attain a job. Geneva has shown me that taking interest in all subject areas is a way to worship and honor God for what He has created. |

Geneva profs are fantastic,...
Geneva profs are fantastic, overall. I’m a senior English major, and I’ve loved most of my classes. Besides being fountains of knowledge, and besides really making me think, they give helpful advice and really care. Once in a while, I want to go visit one of them in their office to chat about something, and I’m always worried that I’ll be interrupting their clearly busy schedules, but they’re always glad to listen and provide some wisdom, whether it be class or life-related. The faculty and staff of Geneva is probably the best thing about the school. |

I think that the teachers at Geneva are wonderful. There is no institution that will have a flawless and perfect faculty, but Geneva does have some great faculty and staff members. They are all caring and willing to help at anytime and for any reason, whether it is academic, social, emotional, or spiritual. As far as classes go, there are many classes that I did not enjoy, but that was because the topics did not interest me. I love the classes that fall within my major, and though I did not enjoy some of those core classes, they did help me to be gain a greater understanding in various subject areas, thus preparing me for the real world. |

The teachers at Geneva are very special and are one of the main reasons I love Geneva. It is obvious that they are here for a reason, and that is their love for teaching and their love for students. Our professors care about our well being and have a genuine interest in our learning experiences and our futures. The classes I am required to take for my major are of more interest to me than the core classes, but in every class, I have learned something of value. |

The weather in Beaver Falls really isn't that bad. Most people complain about it, but it doesn't get too hot in the summer —low humidity is a plus—and the winters are pretty cold—about what you would expect being 2 hours from Lake Erie—but not extreme. Fall and spring are gorgeous. Overall, it is pretty bearable!

I am truly happy I came to Geneva. I have learned so much, and not just in the classroom, but things about life, relationships with God, friends, family, guys, and what to do with the rest of my life. I don’t wish I went somewhere else for college because I know that God has placed me here for a reason. I feel I have taken advantage of this opportunity, which will benefit me in many ways. |

Overall, I have had a positive experience with Geneva College. This has mostly stemmed from the personal investment that many members of the faculty and staff have openly made so that my time in school would be a positive time of learning and growth. I do not wish that I was somewhere else. |

My overall experience at Geneva...
My overall experience at Geneva has been up and down. However, as I reflect on my time here, I realize that I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience. Geneva is definitely greater as a whole than the sum of its parts. When I pick apart all the bad things on campus, I can see why students may not enjoy being here. But when I realize all the authentic friendships I have, the education I have received, and realized I have not been deprived of fun activities and just having a good time, I realize Geneva is a great place to mature from a high school senior to a college grad. |

I couldn’t have made a better decision than to come to Geneva. I have had the time of my life and have expanded my horizons so much through the great academics and extra curricular activities the school offers. I have to admit there are some downfalls to Geneva, like the open hours for the dorms and the chapel credits, but overall, it’s really not that bad. I’ve had a great time at Geneva, and I know you will, too. |

Sometimes I wish I were at a different school because Geneva does not have a lot of things that other schools have, but the people here are genuine, and it’s nice to be in that kind of setting. |

I have loved my time at Geneva....
I have loved my time at Geneva. From the people to the professors to the classes to what I’ve learned, my experience has been very positive. It truly feels like home here, and I couldn’t see myself anywhere else. I connect with the Reformed Christian teachings and have found students both similar and different from myself to become close friends with. I also found a major I love and have a much better idea of who I am, who God is, and who He wants me to be than I did before I came to Geneva. It’s not a perfect place, but it’s a place with a lot to offer. |

My overall experience has been...
My overall experience has been outstanding. Despite some of the inconveniences and inadequacies of the campus, there is no place I would rather be than at Geneva College. I am challenged academically and personally to become a better person than I am right now. It is here at Geneva that I have learned what it really means to be a citizen of the Kingdom of God. That is something that will affect my life forever. |

Generally, Beaver Falls is a rundown town, but there are areas, such as College Hill, that are nice. Geneva College seems to be the focal point of the town. |

The atmosphere on College Hill is fairly quiet. Down in Beaver Falls, there can be some commotion at night, but that does not usually affect the campus. There are certain parts of Beaver Falls that are safer to avoid at night. During the day, there are some attractions, such as a small museum, state and local parks, and also malls and other shops, within a half-hour drive. |

The professors at Geneva College...
The professors at Geneva College have demonstrated a personal interest in my learning, achievement, and success. They make themselves available through office hours, appointments, phone, and e-mail to answer questions and help students. I have found most of my classes interesting, although it is easy to become weary of the large lecture classes that are required to fulfill the general liberal arts requirements. |

The professors at Geneva are the...
The professors at Geneva are the best part of the academic environment. Although Geneva may not be as strenuous as a Grove City at first, advanced classes get extremely rigorous. The liberal arts education has given me a greater love for the arts and for other realms of academia. Although I fought humanities at first, I have grown to love learning the history of human artistic development. |

The teachers are excellent—very interested in student success and accessible to help in that end. All teach from a Christian background and understand the importance of integrating their faith into their lives’ work: learning. Though some of the core classes I’m required to take seem somewhat tedious (see gym class), the majority of my classes are very interesting, especially those in my major. |

The teachers I have had for class...
The teachers I have had for class had different expectations as far as following the syllabus, reading, and turning in assignments. Each professor has their own teaching style, and it is up to you to adapt to it. I found my classes interesting. With each class, whether economics, Bible, or biology, I saw how each subject was connected, especially in a Christian atmosphere. |

Beaver Falls is a small town, yet...
Beaver Falls is a small town, yet it’s close to a big city—Pittsburgh. There is sometimes an impression of Beaver Falls as a dying steel town with little to offer, but that’s not true if you take a closer look. There are some hidden gems, especially Oram’s Donuts, a great donut shop. And there’s a cool little waterfall—Buttermilk Falls—just up the road that not many people know about. |

Beaver Falls does not have the most pleasant atmosphere. It is an old town with nothing to do. If you travel about 10 to 20 minutes, you can go to Chippewa, Beaver, or Monaca, where there are malls, restaurants, and a movie theater. There are no other colleges in Beaver County besides community college. |
