Wait, GMU provides transportation to major cities? I haven't heard of this before. Where do you go for more information for that?

Name a popular place in Fairfax, and chances are one of the Mason shuttles takes students to that location for free. Whether students are looking to go to popular shopping spots like Fair Oaks Mall or Fair Lakes Center or the Metro, Mason offers convenient and free service to each via different shuttles. The Mason to Metro is a shuttle that takes students directly to and from the Metro every half hour. The Mason to Metro picks students up from five different on-campus locations and drops them right at the Vienna Metro stop. Another popular new option for freshmen and other students without cars is Gunston's Go-Bus, which leaves from campus every hour and shuttles students for free to the mall, Old Town Fairfax, and a few other shopping destinations.

With all the free transportation options, students don't need to pay for cabs. There is also a shuttle that takes students anywhere they need to go on campus, and the Fairfax CUE Bus, which also has a stop on campus, can also take students to the Metro and several stops throughout the City of Fairfax.
