There is plenty of off campus housing but the prices are all very high and the quality of the housing that you're living in isn't great, especially for the price. But, the housing is mostly all within walking distance to campus so that is a plus.

There are the government financial aid scholarships like HOPE and the Pell Grant available at Georgia College but other than that there are very few scholarship options. Everytime you go to financial aid to ask about their scholarship options they immediately tell you that you're approved for loans and that's all.

There are multiple fast food options off-campus and there are a few good sit-down restaurants in the downtown area of Milledgeville. There is an excellent Greek restaurant, pizza restaurant, Japanese restaurant, and Mexican restaurant.

It really seems like my school belongs in a fairytale. I have transferred around a bit and my other schools were nothing like this. The people are very nice and easy to get along with. The social scene is amazing.

My first time on campus, all I could do was smile! The campus is very clean and inviting.

The computers are very accessible and easy to operate. For someone who does not have their own computer, the school's computers are definitely a very good option.

Everything was pretty easy-going and convenient! They pretty much handled everything for me!

Buses and shuttles running all the time and they even have an App called snap that uses golf carts to come pick you up and take you where ever.

Tons of places to choose from on and off campus. The Maxx also has tons of options and different meal plans to choose from. Delicious!

As a college soccer player, varsity sports are awesome and attendance is top notch. There is no football but there are state of the art training facilities, wellness centers, and nice stadiums. Tons of intramural that people definitely participate in.

Nightlife is for 18+ so theres always something to do. Academics, athletics, and extracurriculars are awesome and every one has tons of school spirit.

Georgia college contains a large array of choices for students to partake in especially those for the performing arts but a lot of colleges have these. Every college is special not because of there programs or whats around them but because of the students that attend.

The choices for evening activities is extremely limited for both of age and underage students. the choices range from a lousy club to a cheap bar that are within walking distance of the main campus

There lacks a certain appeal to the food though there is a large selection at the dining hall, so one can choose what looks best for the day, the food gradually decreases in quality as the term progresses

Georgia college contains a large assortment of clubs to join both academically and athletic. Though most of the campus is amazing in both beauty and functionality the student common center is lacking

Campus transportation mainly involves the bus. It runs every 15 minutes, is on time, and is usually pretty convenient since it takes you to all of the popular areas on campus. Once it drops you off, it'll take 2 minutes to walk to where you need to go. It's always free, so there's no need to worry about money. As far as long-distance is concerned, most students take their cars or carpool with friends.

As far permits are concerned, it is very easy to get one to park. I've never gotten a ticket, but I've heard from others that more often than not, you'll get a warning before you ever get a ticket. And if you do happen to get fined, I don't think the prices are over $30 (of course, that depends on where you park). If you live in the dorms, you don't really need a car, it takes about 10-15 to walk to classes, and it's actually really good exercise. Even if you live in an apartment off campus, they often have shuttle systems through the complexes that can take you to campus. On the weekends, the school shuttle system will take you to the mall or the grocery store so you can get around and get what you need. Parking in the dorms and apartments are very easy- I can always find a convenient place to park. On campus is a different story. I usually take the bus since I live off campus, but usually there is never a place to park when I go to class. I have a lot of classmates that are sometimes late because they couldn't park or couldn't find a space. The only time you can find a decent space is if you have an evening class. The car traffic leaving campus is sometimes heavy. A lot of cars are backed up after classes waiting to find a spot or waiting for the buses to move. That combined with regular city traffic and the large amounts of pedestrians make it a little stressful at times. I never bother with parking on campus.

Most teachers will help you if you ask for help, and are all brilliant and passionate. I feel that some majors are better than others as far as courses and rigor. I have friends who have had to transfer simply because the courses in the major at this school were too few and generalized, transferring to UGA to get the classes necessary to actually have a fleshed out major instead of the skeleton GCSU was offering.

I enjoy eating off campus but there are not as many options as I would like. I feel that a college town should have a wide range of eating places and we really don't. The places we do have are very good though!

The freshman dorms at Georgia College are actually very nice. I was surprised to find that I was able to comfortably fit in my dorm and living so close to other freshman was a rewarding experience. Since our student population increases every year, many upperclassmen are moved to campus apartments which are very nice!

I'm a Psychology major at Georgia College and I've been very happy with the teachers thus far. I have found that they are very passionate about the subjects they teach and are able to make mundane topics very interesting. It is very fun to be able to listen to published authors, and various other professionals lecture about a topic that I, too am very passionate about.

I have become very impressed with GC&SU's curriculum over the last two years I have attended college. I am usually able to get into the classes I need, and I find that most of the professors I have are genuinely interested in the subject matter. Registration can be quite difficult sometimes since our student population has increased so much over the years, it can be very stressful. Overall though, our campus is a great one and I enjoy most of the work I am given, in the end it is something I am proud to say I did!

I have gotten in contact with a few people about getting an internship for my Business Management major for my Junior year. For example, I am very interested in getting into Professional Sports and I have been in contact with the Philadelphia Sixers, as well as the Minor League Soccer Team in Atlanta(Atlanta Silverbacks). Both have offered me a position and it is just about figuring out the details and paperwork now!
Another option is getting an internship while studying abroad which is something I'm super interested in doing! The only problem with that is financing it which is why I am applying for scholarships!

Relatively easy, and my favorite thing about my major is that there is very minimal math requirements. Most of the core are things that are required for most majors.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
