It is true that many Tech students might sometimes wish that they had chosen another, less demanding school for college. Georgia Tech is very academically demanding, to an extreme that alienates many students and parents. Many see the school as a sort of “proving ground” for professional life. However, the size of the student body is not overly large, and it is easy for one to get involved socially and academically without straining your GPA. The rigorousness of academic life at Georgia Tech instills a rare motivation in the students there that will prepare them well for professional life. Most students feel that an education at Tech was worth all the work. Georgia Tech Student ReviewsWhat's This?Filter:

The CRC Rocks
A
The CRC is Georgia Tech's Recreational Center and it is amazing! The competition pool was the site of the 1996 Olympics and the workout room has every exercising machine possible. The library is wonderful for studying and the student center has every type of food plus convenient chairs for lounging. |

Nightlife Is a Blast
A
The nightlife at Georgia Tech is a blast. With the school being in the big city, there are many bars to choose from (many of which are 18 and up so underage kids can go watch the game, etc). Cab rides are the easiest and safest way to get around the city at night. |

Endless Options in Downtown Atlanta
A+
My school is located in the heart of Atlanta, GA, so the dining options are endless. This city has any possible dining option you could think of within ten minutes from campus. Many places will involve student discounts, as well as free food at the world-famous Varsity with your Georgia Tech football ticket stub or Atlanta Braves ticket stub. |
