Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Tech’s Greek system is relatively small, especially when compared to other larger state schools. Fraternities and sororities promote themselves as campus organizations that enhance student life academically as well as socially. They supply members with notes and tests from past years, and provide invaluable connections needed to become involved in campus and, later, professional life.

However, many Tech students do not have the time or the funds that are required to be involved in the Greek system. Fraternities and sororities charge dues that finance their houses and parties, and the act of joining such an organization is a long process that lasts for an entire semester. Most Tech students choose to skip the whole Greek experience altogether.

Greek life

I have had the best experience possible with greek life. Rushing was not too stressful and almost everyone finds a place for them if they want to. Frat parties are great with tons of free alcohol, like legit bar tenders making you professional drinks.

How to Buy Friends and Alienate People

It's sad when the best thing you can say about greek life is free booze because that is really all that it is. When you go to greek parties or something like that all you see is booze, no dancing just booze. It's nothing all that great when you take all things into consideration but in the end even the fraternity brothers don't like each other. They tend to talk trash behind each others backs and about each other and each fraternity has their own stereotypes which they take pride in. The alcoholic fraternity, the fraternity of douchebags, the video game fraternity, the hard drugs fraternity, the rich white fraternity, the racist fraternity and so forth. After a little while, it becomes cliques that you pay for and use to alienate other people that you are with. Sure greek life gets you some places and can help you on occasion but as I see it only on occasion.

Awesome Place to Party

The Greek Life on campus is the most active socially and is the best place to make friends and meet ladies, also the greek parties are all over the campus and around Atlanta and it attracts a lot of women from other universities in Georgia.

Also apart from it joining a frat or a sorority increases your Gpa by atleast 10-15% definitely cause they help you out
