Restaurants are plentiful off campus, but a car is a necessity, as Atlanta is not a college town and is not overly friendly to pedestrians. Buckhead, an area of Atlanta just north of campus, serves as the entertainment center of the city and holds a variety of choices for those looking for a good meal.
For lunch or just a quick meal, there is also an array of choices near campus. Willy's Mexicana Grill offers big, California-style burritos and tacos for about six to eight dollars. For those that crave Mexican fast food, there is also Moe's. Eats, a popular stop for starving Tech students, offers spaghetti, chicken, vegetables, and a slew of other foods. In addition to all this, the Howell Mill Road vicinity, just north of campus on Interstate 75, is home to all the usual fast food stops, including Taco Bell, Arby's, and Chick-fil-A, the local favorite.
