Great Education Doesn't Come Cheap

As a Georgia resident, I qualified for the HOPE scholarship program. However, since starting college, the requirements changed and the scholarship is harder than ever to keep. The financial aid office is very kind and helpful, but the cost of attending Georgia Tech is still high. In-person appointments are much better than emailing questions - especially when it comes to study abroad or loan questions.

The Financial Aid Office Is Very Friendly

The financial aid workers are incredibly timely and a pleasure to work with. In trying to figure out my financial aid, I was worked with and assured that my financial aid would be obtained and taken care of.

Financial Aid Isn't Too Great

I know that a lot of students get financial aid coming into college, but the problem lies after your first year. There aren't very many scholarships to apply for once you are in college. Coming in, I had a lot of money to help me through my first year that I got from local scholarships. However, now my parents urge me to find more scholarships to help ease the burden on their wallets, but hardly any are to be found that relate to my major, Business Administration. Most are engineering scholarships since it is an engineering school.
