In my on campus housing, yes. However, there were other options that did not require you to share a bathroom.
In most dorms, two people share a bathroom. The traditional hall bathrooms are being phased out.

Depends. 1 roommate if you don't know them and it'll cut down on drama. 3 roommates if you know them or compatible and it's more fun.
