| Advice on Finding a Job/Internship | |
Gettysburg does make an effort to ensure that you are not on your own when it comes to finding a job or internship. The Center for Career Development is available for all students, and it provides services including personal career counseling sessions to workshops on job hunting, résumé writing, interviewing, and finding the right graduate or professional school. Don’t wait until you are a senior to venture into the Career Development Office. As soon as you have time, head over there with your résumé (or proto-résumé) and have it assessed by a staff member. Then, sign up for eRecruiting, and stay apprised of all on-campus interviews and career development events. Of special interest are notices of alumni-sponsored internship and career opportunities. When it comes to career opportunities, it is certainly true that Gettysburg takes care of its own.
