A lot of majors for a small school including a pre-med type program referred to as Health Sciences. Many majors require students to have an internship before they graduate which can be either paid or unpaid.

I am an Environmental Studies and Public Policy double major, and I am very happy with my choice. The ES department is rigorous, but really gives you a fantastic education. The faculty members are top notch and get to know each person on an individual basis.
The Public Policy is relatively new at Gettysburg College. It is what you make it to be. I have found ways for it to give me a well-rounded understanding of environmental policy.

The Career Development Office at Gettysburg College does a great job of hooking students up with internships. I have not had one yet, but will be next summer, as it is required for my major (Public Policy). Gettysburg College provides great tools, resource, and connections for finding and landing internships. I'm personally not too worried about finding one.

Regular Rocess – The process was pretty easy-- I just started taking the 101 class and moving up from there. You do need to take a math class early on, and I did that which helped. Otherwise it is a logical progression, simply requiring you to pass the classes.

Marketing Intern – I was an intern at an off-campus company not affiliated with the college. It paid much better than on campus part time jobs, and it was still close to school. Time commitment was anywhere from 12-20 hours a week.
