Upon entering Gonzaga, I was dismayed by what I had perceived to be a lack of diversity—a lack of color, if you will. However, in time, you realize that diversity is not skin-deep. In fact, the diversity of Gonzaga is striking in terms of ideology, political persuasion, socioeconomic status, and even religion (believe it or not). Most interesting to me, I found that diversity existed in the small town/big city mentalities. Those from Los Angeles, for instance, varied drastically from those from Montana.
