Some Diversity

There are a lot of different cultures and types of people around campus. However, the majority of the students are white middle class. There are also a large population of gay/lesbian/transgender students. Overall, the majority of the student body is excepting of each others differences, but the campus is not as diverse as the school tries to make it seem.

Not Diverse at All.

I feel like the GVSU student body is not representative of the diversity I have seen in other local community colleges. I don't know if people simply do not apply to GVSU because they are not interested in the school or if GVSU selects new students. I am an international student myself and find it very hard to mingle with white upper-class American students.
