I would like to have more options for classes that would apply to my degree. Some classes that I want to take offer no credits. I like my teachers, they are very helpful and encouraging. Registering for classes was done online and I found it easy to set up my schedule.

The class schedule dates are great, I only wish they had more classes to choose from.

I have not really had the chance to use the career services here at the college. I cannot give them a grade when I have not experienced the chance.
College Sophomore 2013-08-02T19:26:24Z
I am still a student so I do not any career services.

I decided on this school because of the online classes. The easiness of taking classes from home and not have the hassle of driving to the campus.

The student body is very helpful to all students at the school. The are very organized to inform us what is coming up in the school.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The education I am receiving is worth the money for my education. There is always someone to help you out in the financial aid office. Their process to send out financial aid is fast and easy.

I only went to a branch campus for a couple semesters but when I did go it was pretty fun. The students varied in age groups and there were a nice mix of all types of people. I am strictly online now so I don't really see the student body.

I love taking online classes. They often require more work because you have to partake in discussions rather than sitting in class and just listening. I like that I don't have to be anywhere at a cetain time on certain days and that I can do my homework wherever I am at. I travel a lot so this works out perfect for me!

I wish we could see ratings in how the teachers perform.

The student Body makes sure there are fun activities

The student body is amazing. Typical students are hardworking and willingness to work together. Everyone is actually nice to eachother, which is a big difference from highschool. The student body actually wants to go to school and succeed.

My specific major is psychology. I am going to get my pre-recks and transfer to a bigger university. In all reality when I am done with Great Basin college I wll have my associates of arts. I have takin a few classes relating to my major and loved it, just breezed on through it. This is my second sesmester and my workload is pretty easy and I am taking 6 classes.

The instructors/professors are very dedication. They give you, the student the best they can offer. They are very helpful in class or even outside class or non classes hours. The curriculum is not bad. Registering for classes is hassle free.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Great Basin college's tuition fees are moderate. Listening to friends and relatives from other schools, I've realized that my school is among those schools which have the aim of helping people achieve their goals on a very cheap and moderate charge. The financial aid in my school is superb, I've been through it so I know what I'm talking about. The financial aid supervisors will walk you through the process from start to finish.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
More aid would be nice, or lists of available scholarships in the area. But the school process itself is very nice.

It depends on the teachers. Some teachers are excellent and lay everything out very clearly. Others don't know how to handle the online stituation. Personally, I relally like online course.

The college administration and teachers were very accommodating. They helped me schedule my classes around my life.

Again I'm in the smaller branch in Winnemucca, though; I was able to visit the main campus. I loved it there. In the one day I was there I meet a lot of interesting people all there for the same reasons and all the on-campus activities there are to do everyday makes a more stabile community inside the school.
College Junior 2012-10-17T04:35:49Z
Honestly I do not enjoy on-line classes as much, I would rather be right there in class never missing a beat. I think in campus class is so much more beneficial when it come down to it. A lot of technical problems can occur with on-line if your computer and network resources go down before a test or assignment is due/while your submitting tests and assignments there's only so much you can do.
College Junior 2012-10-17T04:29:39Z
I'm not located at GBC's main campus which I've seen and is amazing, I'm at the Winnemucca branch. This branch is small, though; the staff is right to your aid and availability of what resources it does provide is great. Computer labs, Internet, printers and help is always available here.
College Junior 2012-10-17T04:13:22Z
The student center and computer labs are open to students every weekday and includes Internet access and printers; though its always nice to have you own. Like every network the schools system does go down but not to an extreme inconvenience.

Tons of Resources. Great Basin has many resources of a much bigger school. The tutoring and library are first rate.
College Senior 2012-08-24T22:47:32Z
Great Basin College is a well kept secret. The Profs are great, the classes are easily entered into, even the counselors are readily available. I have attended 5 College (or university) institutions and Great Basin has been, by far, the best experience I have had. They really help you take care of the obstacles (usually these have nothing to do with doing well in class) that prevent folks from getting a degree.
College Senior 2012-08-24T22:43:46Z
Profs are very helpful, material carefully prepared. Access to guidance and tutoring is exceptional. Rates for tuition are fantastic. I have attended 4 College/University institutions and this is by far the most student friendly...not easy...friendly.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
