Overall ExperienceWhat's This?

Freshmen might be a little skeptical about the “Grove City family” lingo that they hear during orientation and opening convocation. However, by graduation, many undergrads admit that Grove City College is a second family. Like almost any real family, Grove City College has its unpopular rules, its rebels, its squabbles, and its quirks. But also like a real family, there’s a bond—despite the blemishes. Not everyone is in love with their college family, but Grovers have no excuse to feel like just one of the crowd.

Some students complain their way through four years of killer academics, narrow-mindedness, and local boredom, but by the time most of them actually finish, they have enjoyed Grove City College, despite their gripes. In contrast, many students rave about the school right from the start. They thrive on the academic challenges, accept Christian values, and change the local atmosphere with their passionate desire to serve God and others. The popularity of activities like Orientation Board, Homecoming Committee, and tour guiding are sure signs that students love their school. Grovers, the mainstream and rebel alike, make life-changing connections here.
They become the happily-married, successful alumni who bring their kids to Homecoming for an extended family vacation or reunion.

Campus Dining at Grove City College

Meh

You are stuck with a 21-meal dining option for all four years unless you decide to live at the apartments (still on-campus housing). There is a lot of variety and two cafeterias to choose from including a cafe option. It's a buffet style for all 3 meals. The food is decent but it gets old quick.

Too Safe

Campus safety is always driving about making sure nothing is going down. Nothing ever happens around campus. Walking down a road at night by yourself is very safe.

Athletic

The girls and guys at Grove City will always be hitting the gym. A great majority of the people will exemplify Christian values which results in a dry and boring campus without much to do. The people are nice but some come off as stuck up.
