At Guilford, if you want to do drugs, you can do drugs. If you want to ignore their existence, you can do that, as well. You may not be able to ignore the drunks on the weekends, but generally, everyone is quiet, reasonable, and protective.
Many students were not even aware that drug circles existed on campus. Others commented that they know students who use drugs on a regular basis, but do not feel pressured or threatened by the presence of drugs. The most visible drug is alcohol, similar to most colleges. As long as you are careful, have knowledgeable friends, and stay safe, drugs will not be a dangerous issue.

Alcohol Use

Alcohol is not a very big thing on Campus. We are not a dry school, but not a wet school. Partying does happen, but maybe not every weekend. Peer pressure is not a huge thing here, since a lot of students do not drink during the weekend.

Guilford is making its best to keep this campus a smoke free campus. However, people cannot simply tell people to stop smoking, so we have only three smoking places on campus, and they are not near the middle of campus.

A lot of people have drugs and are willing to share, it's easy to access them.

Alcohol is common and many people drink. There isn't much in terms of drugs other than marijuana.
