Most Guilford students don't yearn for Greek life. In fact, many students come to Guilford because it does not have frats or sororities. If you are really desperate to go to a frat party, you can always take a quick ride down to one of the ones at UNCG or A&T.
Guilford has other interest-based clubs similar to Greek societies. In the past, the alternative houses have all had themes based around a service project or group community effort. Guilford also has the Bonners Scholars Program, where students do volunteer work for their scholarships to Guilford. Other groups include: LARP (Live Action Role Playing), Pride (gay, lesbian, transexual, transgender, questioning, and allies union, which has a large budget intended to provide campus with events), Revelers (theater for nontheater majors), BUS (Blacks Unifiying Society), International Club (international and interested students), and the Guilfordian and the Quaker (for those writers and photographers).
