I have not heard about any transportation on campus at all. There might be some for special events but none which seem to have it mentioned.
College Sophomore 2013-10-19T15:51:57Z
Parking is very close to campus but sometimes theres no parking and one has to take the risk in parking in the restricted area or teachers parking not to get late to class.

Gwynedd-Mercy College is located in Gwynedd Valley, PA, a country-like atmosphere in Montgomery County, PA. We have an absolutely beautiful campus. Also, the campus is located about 30minutes or so fromCenter City, Philadelphia, PA. There is easy access to the train -10 minutes to the station - in which students might visit the sights of Philadelphia. There are also a few well-known shopping malls, as well as restaurants near campus, for all to enjoy! Students can take in a Phillies baseball game, or Union soccer game during the appropriate seasons.

Students from all genders/orientations are accepted at Gwynedd-Mercy College. As we continue to live and learn in the Mercy tradition at the college, no one is looked upon as being different because of their likes and dislikes. We, as students, are accepted for who we are, and, inasmuch as we are a smaller college, it is very easy to get to know everyone, and be considered one family at GMC!

As I explained in my last essay, Gwynedd-Mercy College is an amazing institution. The professors are highly qualified in all of their areas, and are always available when students are in need. The process in which to become a member of the Gwynedd-Mercy College community is quite easy, and every student is welcomed with open arms. The curriculum and workload may be difficult to some, but we are now in college. It is expected to be challenging. I know that every student that leaves Gwynedd-Mercy College is thankful for the college education that they receive here.

I find the major of psychology to be very interesting, as well as rewarding. Our professors are very well knowledgeable in their fields, and they are always willing to lend us a hand. The workload is sometimes tough, but, after all, this is college. I truly enjoy the curriculum that I am a part of, and I love Gwynedd-Mercy College!!

I personally am a commuter student, but many of my friends are residents. They say they love the experience.

Gwynedd-Mercy College is located in the middle of the woods in the suburbs of Montgomery County Pennsylvania. It is a perfect place for those who need to go somewhere to get away to concentrate. That being said, if you enjoy going out there are plenty of events on campus, such as dances we hold once a month and plenty of other events throughout the school year. It is also only a 30 min drive to Philadelphia, so any nightlife of day trips you would like to take are within reach.

While the list of Majors is not the longest at Gwynedd-Mercy College, the professors are very good at what they do. Other than in nursing, the classes are small and the teachers are very knowledgeable and very helpful.

The Residence Life portion of Gwynedd-Mercy College is one of the strong suits. They are very helpful at assisting in fixing any issues with the rooms and are pretty spacious, with the exception of the freshman rooms. Room and Board altogether costs about $10,000 (2013) right now so for what you are receiving, it is actually a very good deal.

Guys & Girls:
The great thing about Gwynedd-Mercy College is that everyone there is nice. As a small school you get to know a lot of people, or at least know of a lot of people, and no one is outwardly rude. The students are generally nice and the staff is always happy and helpful. That being said the school does get cliquey, but not in a bad way. Most student there are in a program of study (like nursing) or a sport, that requires them to spend a lot of their time studying or practicing with the same group of people and so do not get to socialize with other groups often. There is however plenty of events for everyone to go out and meet other people so it they cliques don't end up overpowering people.
As far as the people go, there is no one type of person. Guys and girls alike. Everyone is different and does their own thing and so there are no really two people that are alike.

The school could use more computers, considering some of the labs are used for classes most of the time, but when classes are not going on they are fast and most labs have printers in them. Also laptops are available in the library.

Gwynedd has a lot of activities at night during the week and weekends. They have themed dances and other activities such as tye-dying t-shirts and movie nights.

I never lived off-campus since I am a commuter but I have been to off-campus apartments and houses and they are very nice. Very close to the college and from talking to people, they said it is affordable and some even include a pool, tanning, and a gym. Also most of the area around Gwynedd is safe and it is a beautiful area.

There is a huge amount of diversity at Gwynedd-Mercy College. There are several international students attending Gwynedd-Mercy. Some are from Korea, some are from Vietnam, we have students from all over. Gwynedd-Mercy College has a campus full of people/students of all different races, ages, majors, religion, culture, and much more.

they are basically like any other college computer: The computers at Gwynedd-Mercy come in a large variety. Almost 97% of them work like a charm, but there are some that are extremely slow. You could sign into one wait five minutes and sign into the computer next to it and get the desktop faster. I hope that makes sense. They are decent though and public safety will open a computer lab up for you late at night if your computer ran out of ink or you need to print something out.

People at Gwynedd are very focused on academics and know when they can let loose and have fun. The RA's are very responsible and there is minimal drinking on campus. It is a dry campus so people tend to go to other local colleges to party. There is also hardly any presence of recreational drugs such as weed.

I feel like this college is very diverse. I room with a homosexual woman and many of my friends are catholic or some sorts of christianity. I also have many foreign people in my classes from India and China. The economic status of people is very diverse. Some of the people I know come from families that are very well off, and others not so much.

I was able to receive a good amount of financial aid. Not enough to cover my tuition though. My family is going through a very rough time and it is hard for them to make ends meet. Any extra scholarships I can find I must use towards school.
College Junior 2013-03-03T16:01:28Z
It is either a hit or miss. I tend to eat things I can prepare myself, not what the school makes. I tend to snack more and not eat huge meals.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
