Interviews & Information Sessions

The Admissions Office is open to the public Monday–Friday 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., and drop-ins are always welcome. To schedule an interview, contact the Admissions Office at (413) 559-5471 or e-mail them at admissions@hampshire.edu. Hampshire admissions counselors and students give info sessions at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., and no reservations are necessary. On Wednesday, there is only a 2 p.m. session, but in August there is an additional information session at 10 a.m. Wednesdays. These sessions go over Hampshire’s academic program, how to apply, financial aid, and other related issues. On-campus interviews are available on weekdays in the Admissions Office at 9 a.m., 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m., but are not available on Wednesday mornings. Prospective students must schedule appointments for interviews, and two-weeks advance notice is highly suggested. Hampshire no longer offers off-campus alumni interviews for students. Call (877) 937-4267 to schedule an interview or to verify the information session or tour times.

Campus Tours

The Admissions Office offers guided campus tours (starting from the Admissions Office) Monday–Friday at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. Appointments are not required.

Overnight Visits

The Admissions Office can help prospective students and their families locate lodging for overnight visits if not directly on campus. The Hampshire Hosting Program fills up quickly, but prospective students sometimes organize overnight visits on their own by finding a host online at the Hampshire LiveJournal site (www.livejournal.com/~hampsters) or the Daily Jolt forum (www.climax.hampshire.edu/forum).
