Not if you don't have a car.

If you know the right people, but as far as school functions they are some fun ones every now and then.

Like every school it's what you make of it. Hampton city wise does not have much going on but Virginia Beach and Norfolk are both farely close.

yes a lot

There are many house parties, apartment parties rather.

Right by the bookstore are apartments called the Harbors. If there is nothing to do on campus, there is always a party or kickback at the Harbors.

It's class names, every new freshman class takes the graduating classes name. So right now I'm Quintessence 9 (QT9), so the senior class is QT8.

Nightlife at Hampton can certainly be a pain for freshmen and sophomores and those without vehicles. If there isn't a party on campus, nightlife within walking distance of the campus is uneventful and not fulfilling. House parties are generally the alternative for students 21 and under. If you are older and licensed, there's a wider selection of parties and hangouts. The Peninsula Town Center, which is about 10 minutes away from campus, has a multitude of stores, dining, and other retail. It's a great place to catch a movie, shop, or unwind from a long week of classes and studying. Traveling to neighboring cities offers more fun things to do such as lounges and clubs for the older undergrad and graduate students. Granby Street in Norfolk is pretty popular, and so is Virginia Beach. Despite the distance, the great people and scenery are definitely worth the drive. On the nights with nothing to do, host a movie night with friends in the dorm or make plans in advance. Always have a back up plan!
