  • The seasoning in the food is rumored to repress hormones.

Traditions

  • Miss HU Pageant - At Miss HU, the males have the joy of seeing the HU ladies dress to impress in evening gowns, swim wear, and business wear.
  • Step Show - The Step Show is an event in which current freshmen step and former residents wildly cheer for their old dormmates.

School Spirit

Hampton University has some sense of school spirit, though it isn’t as dominant here as in other places. HU lacks dominant sports teams that help promote spirit.
