College Prowler Take
There are many words that can be used to describe Hampton’s weather: unpredictable, crazy, indecisive, bipolar. It tends to change, not day to day, but hour to hour as the day progresses. Much of this weather phenomenon is due to living right on the water. For those not from the area, weather is one of the leading frustrations. Flip-flop weather, combined with an abundance of pollen and other allergens lead a lot of people to become ill for part of the year. On most days when the sun is out, there are beautiful clouds in the sky, and the beautiful scenery of the sea bordering the campus makes for wonderful eye candy. Then, dark clouds will surface at random, bringing forth rain showers that were completely unexpected. The summers are usually very hot, and the winters are cold, but there is rarely even a single day of snow. In recent years, it snowed a bit and school had to be closed because Virginia is not equipped to handle even the least bit of snow. The rumor is that there is only one snow plow for each city in Hampton Roads. The fall provides a very quick change from warm, to cool, to a somewhat-chilling cold that normally leaves residents with little time to adapt. Lastly, the spring consist of light rains but has the most beautiful weather of all the seasons. Spring kind of makes up for the crazy weather throughout the rest of the school year. Weather change is constant in this area of Virginia, so always expect a random weather change, and have something, just in case, for any type of weather.

You Just Have To Get Use To The Weather
B-
The weather is normal with four seasons. It rains a lot in Hampton so you should expect a lot of flooding since the campus is by the water. The weather can also be very random at times. One day it may be freezing and the next day it’s beautiful outside.

The Weather Man Is ALWAYS Wrong in Hampton
A
The weather forecast never really seems to serve a purpose on campus, maybe it’s correct for the rest of Hampton City but never on campus, it’s like trying your luck. It may say it would be 70 degrees and partly cloudy but in all actuality by 6pm there will probably thunder and rain falling from the sky, profusely. One time students expected a thunder storm and ended up trapped in their residence halls for the entire weekend because of the flooding of a "MONSOON". The flooding trapped cars, filled parking lots with water, shut off electricity in homes and caved in roofs causing leakage and damages. Other than that you can depend on sunny days and chilly nights at our "Home By The Sea".

HU Weather

Hampton definitely has its own weather. One day it’s hot and the next it’s cold and rainy. When it rains at Hampton, it’s such a hassle. No one wants to really go anywhere because it’s extra windy and rain boots are a must. Summer and spring are amazing and the probability of people going to class is slim.

The Not-So-Bad Weather
B+
The weather isn't so bad but you must come with a GREAT umbrella and rain boots because it rains a lot. When it rains, it rains for a long periods of time. The overall weather is good especially in the spring and summer.
