Overall ExperienceWhat's This?

Hanover is not the right fit for everyone—that's for sure—but for students who want an academically rigorous program, close relationships, and a welcoming campus community, Hanover is perfect. Hanover consistently rates highly in nationwide college reviews and is well respected in both the region and the country. Hanover students value hard work in- and outside of class and make it a point to get involved in campus activities. Students typically make close relationships with professors and faculty members and keep these friendships going even after graduation. Professors make a point to get to know their students on a personal level and become mentors. Everyone at Hanover works together to make it the best college experience possible. Hanover alumni remain connected to the College, and when speaking to them, you get a sense that the College changed and shaped them into better people during their time there.

Hanover is only for you if you can embrace its isolated, rural location and can be open to making your own fun and working hard. Hanover students cannot party every night and still succeed academically, but they can still have a lot of fun. Grades can become an issue for students because the professors are usually very harsh graders, even if the knowledge gained is worth the cost. Since Hanover has a large Greek population, students should also think about whether they want to be a part of Greek life. It takes a lot of time, effort, service, and money to be in a fraternity or sorority.  Overall, Hanover is an engaging school that is ready to welcome students who want to learn and make close relationships with other Hanoverians.

HC Experience

Hanover has offered me a lot of great opportunities. One of the things I would say they are best at is making studying abroad easy and fun to do. I definitely love all the traveling opportunities I was given.

Best Years of My Life.

Attending Hanover, while it has it's low points, is definitely the best decision I've ever made. I was torn between staying near home and settling for a lesser school and going 7 hours away to HC. I chose Hanover, and haven't looked back. I'm on a first name basis with my professors, know almost everyone on campus, and always feel connected to the campus as a whole. It's a beautiful campus, and I'm so proud to call it home. It's both challenging and rewarding, both in my academic and social lives.

Pick It Again

I'm in my senior year at Hanover, and every experience I've had so far I would gladly do again. I feel prepared for my future and through my time here I've met amazing people who I'm sure I'll be in contact with for many years in the future.
