Many freshmen learn in their first semester that Hanover does not provide the atmosphere they need to have fun or prosper in college. However, I cannot imagine going back and taking a different step. I have met so many incredible people and had so many learning experiences with my professors that I know this campus fits me. On the other hand, this college is very unique and will not fit everyone. In fact, it’s probably not for most. It is demanding and stricter than most colleges, but the benefits for those who come here are numerous.

It’s a pretty good school academically, but the administration isn’t very good. They handle themselves poorly. There is a lot of job switching within the administration. The thing that has kept me here the most has been the people and the friends I’ve made. You can’t help but get close to people here because you spend so much time on campus.

I love this school. It is very small, but I still don’t know everyone. Most people here are Christian. There is an academic atmosphere in almost all situations here because the people are gifted and smart.

At times I wish I were somewhere else because of being 21 and not being able to do what I want. The College has good intentions, but I don’t agree with some of the rules. For the most part, the administrative rules could force me to leave, but I wouldn’t leave for any other reason.

I love Hanover because the atmosphere is so friendly. It’s nice to walk around campus and be able to say hello to your friends when you’re on your way to class. The academics are very challenging, but you learn a lot of good time-management skills and really improve on your academic skills. It’s been a great experience. I’ve made lots of really good memories and even better friends.

My overall experience here has been very enjoyable. The College provides a stable balance of education and social life. The life outside the classroom has been very memorable for me.

I can honestly say there is no better campus for me than Hanover College. It fits my personality the best. I cannot see myself anywhere else, and I’m very happy I’m here. The weather at Hanover can be described as rainy, sunny, and cold. When it rains, it pours, and the campus floods, so bring your umbrella, rain boots, and raincoat. During the winter, it is freezing, so make sure you bundle up. However, in the spring it’s gorgeous out, so bring your bathing suit and lay out while you do your homework!

The weather is typical Indiana weather. It may be cold one day but scorching hot the next. For the most part, it never gets too cold in the winter. In the fall and spring, it is mild, and there are some hot days and some cool days. In the winter, a good coat, hat, and gloves will be sufficient. In the fall and springtime, don’t forget your swimsuit to soak up the warm, sunny rays. A lot of students lay out in the grass when it’s warm.

Bring fans if you are living in the dorm because it is really hot at the beginning of the year. But that usually only lasts for the month of September.

We have typical Indiana weather here—hot summers and cold winters—so bring a variety of clothes. One thing to remember is that Hanover’s drainage system isn’t great, so when it rains it floods a little. A good pair of rain boots solves this problem.
