-- VERY strict curfew (for all years)
-- NO alcohol (EVER) or smoking (on campus)
-- Getting pregnant will get you kicked out
-- Guys and girls can't swim together
-- Parking tickets are given without mercy, even though the parking is abysmal
-- Shorts aren't allowed during classes (even when it's murder° out)
-- When there's guys and girls in the same dorm room- "both feet on the ground" + "doors open" (seriously, or else they'll kick the opposite sex from the dorm)
++ The campus police are VERY helpful and have always been glad to assist me

Just remember, the rules aren't there for no reason. Every rule is made because someone made a precedent for the action that the rule is against! The rules are also there to help us be better Christians to one another and the community. The most obvious rules for a Christian college are no drinking, drugs, sex, etc. But some others that extend beyond that are things like the dress code. Now I know those two words sound highly discouraging, but in all honesty, the Bible does tell us to dress modestly, so that's what we do! Don't be fooled: girls still run around in shorts way too inappropriate for anything and skirts that wanna make you run up and pull 'em down, but that's a personal choice. A choice of do you want to make some guy struggle with sexual thoughts, therefore making your fellow Christian stumble (which we are warned against). Sorry, I didn't mean to preach, but just know while you CAN get in trouble to immodest clothing, it doesn't mean you will always be caught and pulled aside. Another thing is Chapel. Yes, Chapel is everyday at 9 or 10, depending on your schedule, but it is SO nice to have a time where you can relax and sip your coffee while listening to campus-wide announcements and getting to praise God! The same with Bible classes: you will learn and grow SO much if you just really study the Word and pay attention. Oh! Curfew. Yeah, well, it's not so bad really. It's 12am on school nights (Sun-Thurs) and 1am on weekends (Fri&Sat). But let's be honest..there's still plenty of fun to be had pulling all nighters with your dorm friends and watching stupid Youtube videos and cramming for tests ;) Also, if you are staying overnight somewhere, you have to sign out so they know where you are (or where you're supposed to be if something happens to you..see the safety precaution now). It's not a big deal, though, you just write down where you're going, and the date returning on your log sheet. RA's are pretty awesome, too!!

It's Harsh – I say it's discrimination, but they call it they're christian rules. No sex before marriage, no hanging with the opposite sex for that matter, no cleavage for women, no profanity, no drinking, drugs, partying etc. you're kicked out so fast if your caught doing those things. If you even have a child like me, you are not allowed to stay in the dorms, even if your a freshman and out of state, you have to, and let me repeat this loud and clear HAVE TO STAY ON A OFF CAMPUS APARTMENT WITH NO MEAL PLAN AND PAY FOR IT YOURSELF IF YOUR FINACIAL AID CAN'T. You also got to go to church and can't miss a certain amount of days. It's crazy strict, but you applied and pay for the school so you got to deal with it. it's not their problem but yours, so yeah....
Sorry, there are no reviews.
