There are no fraternities or sororities here at Mudd! If you have your heart set on going Greek, Mudd is not the place for you. The dorms here tend to take on particular characteristics that brand the people living in them, much like a Greek system. A lot of people find a dorm they like and keep in close contact with a group of people in the same dorm, planning parties and hanging out throughout their four years.

Though the Greek system by name is absent from Mudd, its spirit and some of its more notable characteristics live on. There is a lot of inter-dorm rivalry, and people take huge amounts of pride in their dorm. Nobody that comes here is deterred due to the lack of Greek life. If you’re looking for a fraternity or sorority to join, stay away from Mudd. However, if all you’re looking for is a sense of community, and people to party with, you won’t be disappointed.

There is absolutely no Greek life...

There is absolutely no Greek life at Mudd. Although sometimes it feels like each dorm is its own Greek house, it is not distinctively so.

There is no Greek Life on campus. Most socialization and parties happen through the dorms on campus.
