| Advice on Finding a Job/Internship | |
The Mudd Career Center is usually very good at helping people find jobs and internships. They have a career fair every year where a lot of people get interviewed. Most Mudders don’t have much of a problem finding jobs after they graduate, even with the current economic problems. Ask upperclassmen, and keep in touch with friends that have graduated! It’s important to keep as many connections as you can in the working world. If you want to start your own business, talk to Professor Gary Evans, who’s in charge of Mudd’s entrepreneurial network. For summer work, a lot of students do REUs (Research Experiences for Undergraduates), so talk to upperclassmen who know where the best places to work are. Often, there are opportunities to intern at Mudd over summer. Mudd also has several job listing services. The career service will host various workshops for resumes early in the spring semester for the influx of job and internship fairs.
