Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Students don’t have much of a choice when it comes to where to eat on campus, but there are usually quite a few choices at Sodexo, or the “Ho.” The food isn’t the best, especially for the cost of meal plans, but it is slowly improving. For healthy eaters or vegetarians, the more appealing options are usually not the healthiest. The specialty bars and hot dishes can get a little scary, with unidentifiable casseroles and something called "soup" (that doesn’t have the consistency of soup and sometimes doesn't even look edible).

The curious part to the Ho’s lack of quality dishes is that the company caters on-campus events for faculty and other special events, and for this they make food so good you’d think it was made by another company. This gives students hope that one day they’ll be served great food just like the special guests.

Nice Staff but Horrible Food

The staff members are great but the overall food selection is terrible. The same things are served week after week. every once in a while they'll get crazy and switch things up but overall its the same things all the time. the cafeteria is old but it works because the whole student union building is old.

Quantity Not Quality

The staff in our "dining facility" and absolutely wonderful and that's what makes it difficult to say that the food is not totally up to par. There is usually a pretty good variety, but things are not always made well. All students who live on campus are required to pay for an unlimited meal plan and that is frustrating when the food is not that good and I could just cook for myself for cheaper.

I go to Sodexo

I go to Sodexo at least twice a day. I personally like going to eat at the Sodexo because they do have a good variety of food. It's also in a good central location on campus.
