Many Hastings College students receive on-campus work-study. These kinds of jobs would be a few hours a week, paying at or around minimum wage. Some work-study is need-based, but some departments grant work-study to the majority of their students. Many of the work-study jobs consist of desk-sitting somewhere, basically paying students to sit and do their homework. Students interested in work-study should contact the Financial Aid Office. Many students at Hastings College find off-campus jobs and internships by word of mouth, either from teachers or other students. Many students have had positive experiences with jobs and internships at Hastings. Hastings College graduates also have a lot of success with jobs, internships, and future education. More than 90 percent of students have a job or plans for further education within six months of graduating from Hastings College.
