I've never needed to use my own personal computer on campus because there are lots of computers everywhere. One thing I don't like is that we are only given $25.00 print credit a semester. The wifi is good though.

The resources on campus are pretty good. There is a student health center, a library, and there are always lots of student events going on so that keeps the learning atmosphere fun.

Overall the campus is nice and the teachers are helpful. I've never ate on campus so I'm not sure about the food. The parking is terrible though it takes me forever to find somewhere to park and I've gotten tickets a few times. Overall it's a good school for starting out. It's a good value for the money.

Being that I'm just starting out in my program of Liberal Arts/Photography - i really can't say one way or the other. I'm happy currently.

My school makes sure there's something for everyone to do at campus. Whether it be fun activities in the student center, or various clubs on campus. I personally have no time to socialize. But for students that do have the time, it is made readily available to them.

I haven't yet had to use Career Services a whole lot. But from what I hear from other students, it's basically on your own, unless you need help with mock interviews and resume help.

I wish a couple of the professors were more enthusiastic about what they teach. One class in particular, the instructor talks monotone the entire hour 1/2 period of class/lecture. Notes/PowerPoint are made available to the student, but only AFTER the test is taken. Other classes offer powerpoints to the students for test study.
I am also a bit disappointed in a couple of the instructors not getting back in touch with you, when you email them with questions regarding the class, or for an instance of having to miss class.

my school has social events to get the students and instructors to be sociable towards each other

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The financial aid office is very helpful. You can call, email, or text them with any questions and get a prompt response. I do not qualify for any pell grants but have taken out subsidized loans. They email you in a timely manner when any information is needed or received on their end regarding your financial aid status to help eliminate any complications.

Hawkeye is one of the few schools to offer the CNC Machining and Tooling Technology program. They have a pretty amazing shop to work and learn in.

Never had a problem with the internet and there is no need for a personal computer. There are computers every turn, every building.

I haven't experienced many problems with the network within the school.

They have onsite health clinic available to students. This is nice becuase not everyone can afford health care. They also have a day care across the street which is also good for single parent wanting to go back to school.

I am in the AP program. This program allows me to compete the first two year of my BA at the college then transfer to a university to complete the last two. I am considered a student of both school and have advisors at both to help along the way. I highly recommend this program to anyone wanting to accomplish their BA

SOme of the professors do not even seem like they should be professors but then there are some that are wonderful. You can tell which ones are generally better and you can try to base you classes off of that.

I am working on my Liberal Arts program to later transfer to the University of Northern Iowa and find the classes I am taking now at Hawkeye Community College to kind of helping me out but it could be better. There is always soemthing to improve anywhere you go and I find Hawkeye to need more improvements than most other schools.

I enjoy this class a lot. Its at 7 AM so its nice and early and doesnt take up my whole day. It ends at 12:50 so i can still go to work for the second half of my day. everything i need is right here at school and the instructors are very helpful. surrounding buisnesses are always calling and asking for workers.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
