Student Ctr & lib. offer assistance all the time for those who need it and they have long hours to accommodate everyone's schedule

A mix of younger students looking for a carrier/job and older students returning to school after being in the work force for a while

Many classes offered at several times to work around your schedule.

I had my schedule made and wasnt sure if I was happy with it. I knew I needed to take a different class than one i was given. I was debating on changing it when I received a phone call from my academic counselor with advice on how to get the correct class and fix my schedule. I quickly agreed and the changes were made. The staff is always helpful in answering all my questions and fixing any little problem.

My school has a very diverse student body. Yet everybody i have met so far has been very nice. I can usually get at least a nod or a smile from any student passing in the hall.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I do believe that the tuition is appropriate for the program I signed for. However the school offers on campus or online courses. If I am unable to take a class on campus due schedule conflicts then I have the option to take it online. I was not aware that it costs an additional $125 to take an online course. I was signing a paper in attempt to sign up when I saw the fee. I have since changed my weekend schedule with my children to be able to take the class on campus. a warning would have been nice.

I am just starting in my core curriculum this quarter, so I can't rate that very well - I do know several grads who are getting jobs in or very similar to what they want, so that speaks well of the curriculum and preparation (many of these students are doing a COMPLETE career path change, like me).
Some of the classes, like "Success" seemed like a waste of time, as it was geared mostly toward the younger crowd (right out of high school...), so I seemed to be helping the instructor with mentoring-type activities.
The core classes seem very thorough from what I've seen.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I qualified for both the Federal Stafford Loans and for a private loan, which I unfortunately have to pay on right now (I haven't worked in 18 months, and have no more unemployment extension...). The application process went smoothly enough, and I will be going in next week to see about a Pell grant as I have no more income at all.

There are plenty of available computers if you don't want to bring your laptop to school with you. If you do bring your own, there is free wifi EVERYWHERE on campus. The administrators are attentive (as far as I can tell - I haven't personally needed them myself...).

Included in Student Services, which I covered earlier, there is also a rideshare program, which I omitted to mention before. This is really helpful to a lot of students.

Heald could improve, but they are a lot better than other private colleges out there, and the cost is essentially the same wherever you go. I feel that the services to the students is what makes Heald stand out over other private schools, especially when you consider Student Services (food closet, professional clothing closet, emergency gas cards, counseling services, access to community outreach that students may not otherwise find out about, etc.). I attended MTI several years ago, and they've got NOTHING on Heald.

Everyone has been fairly helpful since I have enrolled at Heald College. I have no complaints to this point.

I don't really use the campus resources very often, but from what I have seen, they are nice.
College Senior 2013-08-30T17:01:03Z
I love that they have online classes. I'm a single mom, so this helps me be able to have a flexible schedule in order to also be there for my kids. I will have to take classes on campus at some point, but I love that the online option is available to me.
College Senior 2013-08-30T16:54:32Z
I have been an online only student so far, so I really couldn't tell.
College Senior 2013-08-30T16:53:56Z
I don't use the computers on campus very much right now, but from what I know of the computers they work well. I have no complaints about this.
College Senior 2013-08-26T18:13:08Z
I love online classes. It does take discipline to do them but if you make your schedule and stick to it, taking online classes is very effective. I like the flexibility to be able to log into class when I have the time and work around other important things in life that come up. I can be a little frustrating in the beginning making sure that you have all the content that is required but if you ever have any questions, your instructors are available to help when you need them.
College Senior 2013-08-26T18:06:11Z
So far all the classes are interesting and I have not been overwhelmed with studying. All of the classes have been necessary in order to receive the best education for my specific major.

Computer labs and staff are great. The LLRC has plenty of computers and printers that are easily accessible to us students. And the the IT person is great

Heald College is awesome. I can't say enough good things about them. All departments are awesome and I am treated as a person and not a number. Staff is always willing and waiting to help you with anything you need.

I have to work by myself, and there are no professors telling me what to do.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
