The Acedemic experience is great here there are lots of hardworking learners that want to help everyone there.
College Junior 2013-11-22T23:26:21Z
I have not taken any online courses here yet. I have heard though that the classes are not very organized and can be a pain.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The tuition is reasonable. If you need financial aid its not easy but it is possible to obtain at this school.

There is not much need for your own computer in this school. Many people just use the computers available. If you do bring your own computer there is an option for printing for your home computer on campus is available.

The administrators and faculty can be hard to get ahold of at times. Some can always be reached which is very convenient for everyone. Classes are usually pretty flexible.

There are lots of options for careers things like job shadows, interviews, and internships.
College Junior 2013-11-22T23:16:14Z
There are tons of computer labs and all of them when not in use for a class are open study labs.

Everyone has been very welcoming its a great learning environment because of the people that fill it. I have yet to find someone with a sour attitude at this school. I love that everyone is so open to being helpful and social.

I do like my school there is a strong learning environment that is encouraged. I like that. I do think there is a lot of room for improvement in many different aspects of the school. Over all though I think that the school is very good in a general type of speaking.

The Helena college-University of Montana is a very generic school campus. The student center, the library, and the café are all great places to hang out. Although most students might want to bring their own food from off campus to eat, since the cafeteria could be much healthier and better tasting then it is now. Considering that this school strated just a few years ago it is not very surprising though.

I don't feel like there is a lot of flexibility in my chosen major at this college. I would definitely like to see them off more time slots as well as online options.
Recent Alumnus 2013-10-26T21:28:53Z
There are plenty of classes, but limited availability for scheduling.

Online degree options are incredibly limited.
College Senior 2013-08-28T18:42:27Z
they only offer one class at a time and it is from 9-4 mon-fri with only one instructor per year, so there is no flexability at all in the aviation program
College Senior 2013-08-28T18:40:13Z
everyone here actually wants to be here and so that makes it very fun experience

The Peer group is amazing, the teachers are good but the staff is a little less than reasonable, they are very strict and expect you to maintain things that are almost unattainable

I need to transfer to a different school in order to finish my major.
College Sophomore 2013-08-18T23:12:59Z
The professors leave room in their syllabi in case the class falls behind schedule.
College Sophomore 2013-08-18T23:10:36Z
The staff is always helpful and caring. They also help find links to different career surveys.

It's about a 50-50 mix of traditional and non-traditional students. Most students are typically heterosexual. There is not a lot of tolerance of differences at the school even though it claims to be a home to diversity.

There are SO MANY computers that are free during the day for student use. There aren't that many students that use the computers at one time, so if need be, you have a pretty dang good chance at being able to find an open spot. So far, the computers/system/internet have all worked really well for me. The speed is pretty fast so thats good :)

I haven't taken an online course from UM- Helena, but I can imagine it's pretty manageable. Even though I didn't take online courses, a member of the faculty sat down with me and helped me with my registration. So I can imagine that it's pretty awesome if you just ask for help when you're stuck with something
College Junior 2013-07-01T23:05:46Z
The staff is AWESOME!! Everyone I've talked to so far has been SOOOO helpful!! They offer free tutoring every weekday which is really nice because I struggle with math and they never make you feel dumb or incompetent. All of the tutors even help you figure out which tutor will be the best fit for you. They really just want you to succeed and that is just so nice :D

The campus just got a HUGE facelift a few years ago and it looks/feels really nice. There's no smoking on campus which is really nice for non-smokers like me. Since it's a small community college, there aren't too many activities/sports but that just gives me more time to focus on grades and actual school work :) All in all, the school is really quiet which is awesome...it's the perfect place to study and get some quiet time :)
Sorry, there are no reviews.
