The people is what Henderson has to offer. Everyone on staff wants to see you succeed and wants to help you out. It's easy to make friends and generally the maturity level is high.

It's Really Bad

The cafeteria is really bad. The school may as well be owned by Aramark. I feel like the main goal is to make a buck and there's not really any thought to the student's health.

Newberry Could Qualify for Hell on Earth Sometimes

I'm sorry, the only reason why the grade is not an F is because of East, West, and Sturgis Halls which are actually quite amazing dorms. Newberry Hall (and Smith Hall) is probably one of the most disgusting places to live on the Earth. It's not that I'm not thankful to have a place to live, but Newberry is full of mold and does not get taken care of at all except for the occasional sweeping and trash emptying. If anything does get changed it's for the worse. They took the old faucet heads which are used to shave, brush teeth, and and wash hands with, and replaced them with low pressure faucet heads in what I'm suspecting all in the name of saving a few bucks on the water bill. This was a cruel move. The community bathrooms are the worst part. The university doesn't do its job to get rid of the numerous potheads and drunks that live there and cause people who actually want to be there to not be there because they are so loud, careless, and disrespectful. Don't live in Newberry, and if you do, pray that you can get out as soon as possible.
