I'm not in Greek Life, and I don't want to be, because I love being friends with everyone! Greek Life does great things for the HPU community and the city of High Point. I'm involved and connected without being in Greek Life.
Greek Life is AMAZING! There are always fun parties and mixers, TOTALLY WORTH IT.
True. 35% of campus is Greek.
Greek life is big at HPU and a large majority of social events revolve around greek life.

The only word to describe Greek life at High Point is "big." Greek life is a major part of the social scene and contributes a lot to the campus community. Being in a sorority or fraternity gives students leadership, community awareness, and lifelong friends. Although a lot of non-Greeks only care about them for the parties they throw, Greek members do a lot for the campus in terms of spirit, philanthropy, and events. Greeks can be seen in their respective letters all around campus. They are proud of their affiliations and like to make it known to the rest of campus. Greek life is so big at High Point that the organizations have housing. The Greek Village is a collection of massive chapter houses (one for every Greek organization on campus and a few extras for future expansion), a private pool, and meeting house.
Even if you’re not interested in Greek life before you get to college, you should still get some information about it once you get there. It’s such a huge part of the social scene at HPU that sometimes it’s imperative that you be a member of one organization or another. While it’s perfectly acceptable to stay independent for your four years at High Point, Greek life is something that is a big part of campus life, and it definitely doesn’t hurt to check the organizations out!
