Tuition & Financial Aid:
Tuition costs are low in comparison to other schools but financial aid would help. Financial aid process is long and complicated.

The computer network is always having problems. Sometimes it is not good for the online classes. But it's ok over all.

People are pretty nice in HCC. We have people from different ages, different countries. It is pretty easy to make friends. I made a lot of friends at school and I developed my social network from there.

My school is Great. People are friendly, specially the international student programs. I learned a lot from there. We have a lot of people from different countries. I learned from there background. However, teachers from HCC always messed up my grade.

The library on campus is also a Federal Repository, so the level of resources available is far better than you might find on a regular community college. The campus is quite nice and has a BEAUTIFUL view of Puget Sound.

HCC is well-known for having the most racially diverse student body in Washington State. We have students from EVERYWHERE, which makes for a fascinating and well-rounded experience. In my opinion, it also makes the instructors more effective, as they must constantly adjust their teaching styles and plans to meet a wide range of student cultures and needs.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I think the education I had is worth what I paid for. I never had any difficulty with the financial aid office. I would say I even had enough aid to take care of all my expenses. Also just follow the financial aid rules and policy and you will be fine. Try to maintain a good grade and you can get some grant for tuitions. Also take opportunity of Scholarship they offer and that will help you get all the money to pay for any expenses you may incur. Follow all the deadlines for financial aid so you don't miss your opportunity in receiving aid.

I think I will like for all professors to have the skill of making their class interesting and challenging. Most professors here make the class too boring for my liking and also the workload for each class is too much. At least it should be broken down and only important once should be focus on. Also I think the class registration process here is a bit okay. I never had any problem during registration. I like the idea that we all are assign a specific date to register.

In fact, I really did not like the idea of online classes since I learn better in the classroom where I can meet people and chat with people physically but to my surprise I liked it when I try it with one class. I also realized that even though it was online the workload was too much and challenging. I liked the idea of a discussion forum which made peer to peer interaction fun and also made it interesting. Lastly, time management was a factor in passing the class without it you should know you are failing the class.

As a nursing major, almost all my classes taken at Highline community college were very interesting and challenging. Tutors who taught Biology and Chemistry were tutors that really had vast knowledge in their field. This made it a little bit easier for me to past the class with and A and B+ because challenging topics were made fun and interesting to study. Also all the classes I took were transferable, this made it easier for me to transfer.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Getting financial aid was a process but I did not have any problems. When I was unsure of what I needed or what to do the financial aid office was very helpful. The financial aid portal gave me a check list of things I needed and I was able to check my status online which was a great tool. I think they made the process pretty easy and straight forward.

I have not had any problems with my experience at Highline Community College. The advisers are very helpful and straight forward. I cannot say I have noticed whether the schedule is very flexible or not but, so far, my classes fit my intended schedule. I just finished my first quarter so that could change. My certificate is quite the load every quarter but I am determined to be a 4.0 student for every one of them.

Dr. Bob. he's a psychology teacher that is loved. I will not give you his last name. He is very friend;y, funny and caring. You should take psych with him. Also, he gives Suicide Intervention class. It is a great class. and he is the only one teaching it. also, a very rare class to have in a college.
College Senior 2013-06-12T22:59:47Z
I am not sure because I've only been there for 3 quarters and I just chose my path. But I think it'll be great cuz it's psych!

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I was in the Running start program so I don't know. I'm thankful for the Running Start program.

I went to the legislative rally for college tuition fees and everyone who went was really into it. so as this shows we participate in these kind of activities. There is a suicide intervention club and LGBTQ club. The school is mostly diverse. Very diverse. The teacher accommodates international students very well. I love them.

The professors are overall great. The curriculum depends on the professors I think. I think the text book the professors use are good. class registration process is easy to me. I don't have to go sign a paper if I'm not late r something. Its online. Also, the website is very useful.

Highline is the most diverse school in Washington.
College Senior 2013-05-16T17:56:46Z
This school is very accommodating schedule wise. Every class has at least two to five different schedules ranging from 7 in the morning to 10 at night. Perfect for students with multiple jobs like me. What is even better is that a lot of the classes and homework are done online.
College Senior 2013-05-16T17:52:55Z
The computer network here has a lot of problems especially during the Fall and Winter quarters. The network gets overloaded a lot or something will happen to cause the main computer to crash, knocking everything down. The computer labs at Highline are in abundance but are usually always full, this includes the ones in the library and in the computer lab building. Printing on campus is generally simple and fast but only if you can get a computer. One great thing about the school network though is that when you can get a computer, the internet is usually reasonably quick.

The campus resources are bountiful. The campus comprises of several gyms, a fitness center, several relaxation places for students to lounge between classes and a student ready library. Overall the campus is very accommodating to its students.
