As a first year, I had last pick in the housing project. I was really lucky and got placed on The Hill (the all girls dorms). I live in Hirshon and it's quite, clean, and pretty roomy. Comstock, one of the other dorms on the hill looks like a hotel. It's absolutely gorgeous and ladies should definitely aim to live there. For first years, the co ed options leave a lot to be desired. JPR is, at first glance, standard. The dorms are alright. But the bathrooms (especially in comparison to The Hill) are pretty gross and the dorms are always SO noisy. Definitely pick all girls dorming, ladies, and only go to JPR on Friday and Saturday night.

It depends on where you are. You have Classy Comstock, Shitty Sherrill and Dirty Durfee, need I say more? And JPR is a shit hole. Don't live there.

The dorms aren't the best but your RA is the one who completes the housing package because the RA's chosen are the coolest people especially the RA that I had. Other than that, the bathrooms could use some work and the basement lounge could use work too.

ResEd, the office that handles Campus housing is a disaster. This place is a train wreck. If they find four walls(doesn't matter where) they will try to put a bed in there. And their "fire safety code" is the worst. They think everything will catch fire. I do have to agree that there are some great buildings and houses that have been maintained very well. But as a whole, I would give a F to housing just because of ResEd.

Upperclassmen Dorms Are Nice – Freshman dorms at HWS aren't great in terms of living conditions, but they are great for meeting new people and there is always something going on so you will never get bored. Upperclassmen dorms are much better, the rooms are either cleaner or bigger (depending on which building you live in) and there are more options in terms of things in the dorms, such as a cafe, a gym, nice open living rooms/ballrooms, and things like that. The all female dorms are usually considered the best because they are much bigger, but they are the oldest buildings on campus.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
